4By myownbookshelves"I look at my husband and the only thing I see is love." Where We Belong is one of those full circle, what happened to our beloved characters once they reached their HEA. Ms Daniels gives you a story that intertwines the main Heroes and heroines from the Alabama Summer series. You learn their ups and downs as they navigate the waters of married life and kids and no time to be together. This short novel is definitely not a standalone. You need to do yourself a favor to get to know the characters from the series to take value in this story. It's emphasis is on Mia and Ben. I would have like more time with the others. Is this story necessary? Not exactly. if you are like me and like to see what happens after the HEA, this book is a perfect closure. 4 out of 5 stars.Love, marriage, and kids causes conflict for alone time.
3By Annmric8This story should come with a warning label for sex. Sweet tantalizing sex scenes guaranteed to get you aroused. If men like Ben truly existed we would not need writers entertaining us women with these sexy characters. To hope and dream my husband would want me and look at me with desire the way Ben looks at Mia is wishful thinking. Hey! Santa I know what I want for Christmas a man like Ben. For a few hours I get to fantasize about Ben and what it would be like to have a man care for me the way Mia is cared for. The escape is beautiful. With kids in the mix J. Daniels does an excellent job of bringing to attention all the possible responsibilities involved with having kids. Kids are great until they interfere with your sex life. Policeman fantasy Ben is saucy. Ben's character says all the perfect words any woman would love to hear. Once again only book boyfriends offer women perfect words of love and comfort. This story was about Ben and Mia. Included both POV's. Luke and Tessa were included. Reed and Beth were mentioned.Where We Belong

5By Erin ~ Nerdy Dirty & Flirty4.5 Stars Where We Belong is a short and sweet novella that gives us another glimpse into the lives of some of our favorite characters. J. Daniels gives an accurate and honest picture of what life is like with young children. It's hard, tiring, all encompassing, and oh, so wonderful. We watch as Mia and Ben struggle to find time for each other amidst their hectic lives. I love these two. Even with all that they have been through and the changes they now face, they are still just as passionate, intense, and loving as they were at the beginning. It was refreshing to see parenthood portrayed so realistically and I loved the effort and creativity both Mia and Ben put into their marriage. Being a novella, I know that we couldn't fully delve into some of the drama too deeply but Daniels did a great job putting in the right amount to keep the story moving. It also probably helped to deal with this situation here rather than trying to address it in the next book. I really enjoyed getting a chance to catch up with the rest of the crew. Even though Tessa, Luke, CJ, and Riley played smaller roles in this story, it was great to see how they were doing and to see things setting up for the next book. I can't wait to read What I Need!!I want to have cookies with Ben!
