A mixed bag
3By luvtoread44Overpriced. Not as tight and well written as part one. Female lead all over the place and very frustrating/unbelievable at times. Male lead had character shift that was unrealistic. Story line did keep me engaged and I finished but would not recommend to others largely due to price.Sooooo Good!

5By JustbeingmetooI literally could not put this book down. I settled on five hours of sleep each night so I could read the next chapter and then the next and then the next. It was worth it. It's a no fluff book. I hate when books have meaningless dialogue that has nothing to do with the storyline. But in this book and also "First Touch" kept me going. I loved the character of Reeve...powerful, domineering, and sexy. The ending was outstanding! It had me gasping in shock and crying in sadness. It made me mad and it left me happy.Excellent read!

But that happiness doesn't last long as Amber's back and she's alive....barely. Joe, Emily's PI, found her and brought her to Reeve's where Amber was asking go. Now Emily is conflicted between her feeling for Reeve and her feeling for Amber. When it appears that Michelis Vilanakis, Reeve's uncle may the cause of all the problems, Reeve goes into protective mode to secure Emily and Amber, whisking them away to his private island in the Pacific! It was heartbreaking watching Emily fight her feelings for Reeve, knowing that Amber was back and that she'd promised her friend years ago that she would never get in between her and a man. It was also interesting understanding Amber's side of their past histories and getting a better feel for the whole picture. It was a very difficult path for Emily to navigate to get to her happy ending but it was well worth it. I loved how Emily finally came to the realization of certain things in her life. This story ran me through the emotions...happiness, sadness, anger and swooning. Great ending to such an emotional tale. Great job!The Follow Up I Couldn’t Wait to Get My Hands On

She's surrounded by people, some of which she loves and wants to trust, and others are near who seem to be the enemy. While everyone is trying to sort out safety and guilt, she's also having a moral dilemma. Her goal has always been to save Amber, but now she's fallen for Reeve. Amber has been the director of Emily's life since she was 16. Reeve gives her the dominance and command she needs. Is she capable of not submitting to either? She has loads of doubts and concerns, but is she even strong enough to look at things intelligently? I couldn't put this book down because I had to know the answers. Thankfully, everything comes out, but the journey is murky and angst-filled. Several scenes made me nervous as to which way they would turn out. I knew who I thought was behind everything, but the author does a good job of adding bits to throw Emily and the reader off solid ground. I have to mention the sexy factor. It's quite steamy starring Reeve as the perfect lover to Emily. If you read the first book, you already know that this one is a must read.Reeve Sallis
