Description

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOUR CHILD WENT MISSING?...

Meet retired cop, Sam Prichard.

Sam Prichard was a cop, and a good one, until the bullets took out the joint of his right hip. Now he's trying to learn to live without being a cop, and getting to know his neighbors, learning to walk again and even ride a motorcycle. Life is bearable, barely, but then he gets asked to find a missing child, and the lure of getting back into some kind of police work is too much for him to resist. When he teams up with computer whiz Indiana Perkins, he suddenly becomes one of the best investigators he's ever even known.

Now, he's found the missing child, but it's thrown him right into the middle of something that may be a drug war--or could be a chance to stop the next 911! There's no way out for Sam, so he's in for the ride of his life, but when the girl he's becoming fond of is suddenly drawn into the line of fire with her own little daughter, Sam is ready to forget all the rules and do whatever is necessary to win the day.

A very enjoyable read. Many authors of late seem to have the same tired plot of big politicians trading out their country. This was an easy to read, enjoyable plot that had just enough twists, action and humor. Am looking forward to the second book in the series..

The characters were great - not so much like superhero’s- to be unbelievable. But good solid likable people. I enjoyed the plot twists and didn’t have it figured out right away, which is a good thing! It was also nice because the story all took place in places I’ve lived or visited frequently. Which makes it so easy to see in your mind. Loved it, fast paced, entertaining read, would recommend it!

If you reeeaally love mystery books 📚 then download this book promptly!!! I sat down to read this and I couldn’t put my phone down. Usually, I skim a book and call it ok, but I haven’t been this immersed in a book since never. I truly wish I could read his other books but I am patiently waiting for when that glorious day will come. Books galore!!!!!🤩😎😎😍😇😩😫☹️😢😭😡😡🤑💵💵💵💵💳💳

What a treat. I found this via iBooks in the FREE section. Within a few pages I was hooked, taking no more than a few days to finish. While the first few chapters were clunky, things soon ramped up and zoomed along. Great characters, deftly paced and plenty of story angles to build a series upon. While I felt Sam's relationship with his 'roommate' developed too quickly (3 days?!?), it wasn't a deal breaker but it does account for deducting one star. Thanks for the promotional pricing and now I've got to go pony up for the next book in the series.

Just finished reading this book. It was great from the start. I enjoyed the plot with all the twist and turns. Has somewhat of twist to end this first book in a series.

I really liked this book it was full of bad guys, car chases, drug lords, and gun battles. But I didn't think that Sam and indie's relationship was realistic. Like after it was all over Sam and indie lived happily ever after, only after being together for three days! It's too predictable and cliche. If I could rewrite the ending I would make indie say goodbye to Sam and find a new apartment with the money she got. Also Sam would offer her a job as a investigator or hacker on the police force. Other than that really great book. It only took me two days to finish it.

A bit of a slow start, but the author makes up for that as the story continues. Thoroughly enjoyable characters, an easy read and a decent plot.
