Description

He's one bad apple she just can't resist . . .

Kennedy Sinclair never dreamed she'd own a pie shop and an orchard in a small town like Destiny Bay. But nestled between the mountains and the Pacific Ocean, it's the perfect place to cross something off her "Life's short so eat the icing first" list and start her life over from scratch. Her shop, Sweetie Pies, is famous for its hot, flaky apple turnovers and sinfully delicious deep dish pie. For Kennedy though, nothing is more enticing than the tall, strapping slice of temptation who keeps coming back for more.

Luke Callahan is determined to make his hard cider business a success. With his beloved father's cider recipe and the opportunity of a lifetime in his grasp, he'll stop at nothing to get this deal done. There's just one catch: he needs Kennedy's apples. At first, he thinks it'll be as easy as pie to charm those apples right off her trees. But Kennedy isn't falling for his tender charms or his wicked ways. When the negotiations start heating up, so do the feelings they have for each other. And it takes just one kiss to seal the deal . . .

Kennedy is used to be disappointed, but her stubborn streak doesn't stop her trying to make a success of the bakery she just bought. To do that, she needs the apples that are part of Luke's orchard. Luke needs those apples to fulfill a deal for his cider business that will help him get back his mom's old house. The more he gets to know Kennedy, the harder it is for him to follow through his his plan to get the apples from her at any cost. He's just a good guy trying to do the right thing, even if sometimes he goes about it the wrong way. Fun, sweet, sexy and quirky, this small town romance with a great set of characters is guaranteed to please contemporary romance lovers! My only complaint is that the ending felt a bit rushed, but I did enjoy the sneak peek a the next book featuring Luke's best friend Hawk. I received an ARC via NetGalley for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.

I was worried starting this that I wouldn't love Destiny Bay as much as I love St. Helena's. Was I ever wrong. I am so in love with the quirky, quaint little town of Destiny Bay and Kennedy and Luke's story was a great one to start the series off! Luke Callahan is back in Destiny Bay determined to make his new business a success. With his father's hard cider recipe and his family's apples it's a sure thing. One little problem. His mother has made a deal with the town's newest resident, Kennedy Sinclair, giving her the rights to 3 acres of prime apple orchard. Apples he very much needs. Kennedy needed a fresh start and coming to Destiny Bay was the best bet. No way will she let the very handsome and sexy Luke Callahan keep her from making a success of her business. If he wasn't so adorable and charming she could resist him. Definitely. Probably. Maybe? Their relationship may start out a bit rocky but the spark between them doesn't take long to ignite. You don't want to miss these two finding their way. I highly recommend this one!
