Description

Miles is Charlotte’s one and only weakness. He’s also her only hope…

British Intelligence officer Charlotte Carstons has no choice—she must track down former Navy SEAL Miles Duncan and ask for his help or risk failing the most important assignment of her career. After being stranded in a cabin with him in Romania nine months ago—and losing lost her heart in the process—she knows he holds the key to complete her mission. What she doesn’t count on is Miles’ refusal…or falling for him all over again.

Charlotte is his fantasy woman. She’s also the biggest mistake of his life…

Miles has never wanted a woman more than he wants the sexy, mysterious MI6 agent who left him without so much as a goodbye after their six-week love affair in the Carpathian Mountains. Back in the States and working as an operative for Shadow Force International, Miles has been searching for Charlotte ever since. The only thing he’s turned up on her is the fact she’s skilled at deception and considered a traitor by her own country. Was their fling nothing but a lie, too?

Together, they can save the world. Or destroy each other…

When Charlotte shows up on his doorstep asking for his help, Miles knows better than to get involved. But she's determined to go back to Romania with or without him. He knows she’s walking into a deadly trap and possibly a coverup with MI6. Can he keep her safe as they travel across continents…and explore the depth of their feelings for each other…in order to access the truth? Or will misplaced honor and treasonous loyalties prove fatal for them both?

I enjoyed this book. This is the 2nd book in the Shadow Force International that I have read by Misty Evans and this time it pulled me in from the beginning. The characters of Miles and Charlotte have instant chemistry. A lot of action, suspense, and romance that kept me intrigued with the story. I'm looking forward to the next one to see if I love it more than the first ones!

They part ways when she disappears ans he goes back to the states. She is on the run from a drug lord and MI6 because they think she turned, she goes to the states to find Mile's for he has the key to her proof that she is innocent. He has been looking for he because he cant get her out of his mind , together they go after the truth . There is twist and turns in this book that make you not want to put it down. This book is a great page turner! Miles and Charlotte meet overseas when Miles is in an accident. When Charlotte is branded as a traitor of her country, she seeks his help. Book reads like a spy movie with rouge agents, undercover spies, and action all over the world. Highly recommend this novel to anyone who loves suspense novels that keep you on your toes!
