5By A GiraldezWhat was once a trilogy has morphed into an engaging saga. Lad and Ryann are finally to be married. Vancia and Nox are touring the world while honeymooning as the new Dark Elven King. Since the Dark and Light are working together an ambassador is sent from the Dark to mingle with the Light Elves. Ava and Culley are beautiful, young and mischievous. They each have a glamour that can either harm or do good. I will just tell you to trust your gut and keep reading. I truly wanted to shake sense into them and yell at others. Patrick works wonders designing Altum and the creative glamours take a special vision. The entire saga is a creative, beautiful and suspenseful story. Perfect for the young adult reader, no foul language or sexual content (slightly implied but fades to black). It is important to read the previous books and short novella as it all connects and relates to everything. While Hidden Darkness left me satisfied there is a cliffhanger of sorts while we wait for the fifth. Many thanks to Ms. Patrick for trusting me with an early copy so I could review her book honestly.Enthralling, unique story

Amy Patrick wrote yet another novel I could not put down until the end. She makes your imagination work in the most amazing way. I truly love reading her novels and I hope there will be many more to come in the future. I wish I could live in Altum and drink Saol water with the rest of them. I loved Hidden Darkness from beginning to end, just like the rest of her novels.Did not disappoint!

The introduction of new characters is done exceptionally well creating a connection between each one well before their stories unfold. I am completely transfixed with each one of them and finding out their true nature. I am loving the mystery behind each new glamour that surfaces. This book was a very easy read as one page flowed to the next; I found I was undoubtedly hooked from start to finish! This book follows all the characters you already love while creating an exciting dynamic with new obstacles and new characters along the way! Anxiously waiting to see what happens next!Exciting Hidden installment that will keep readers glued to heir ereaders!
5By yaratrAnother exciting installment in the Hidden saga! Ryann could do with a little less self-doubt but the author gets stars for making Ryann a realistic teenager with sensitive feelings. Lad of course continues to be the perfect book boyfriend, fighting his hardest against the latest attack against him. We meet Ava who surprises the reader with her beautiful heart though she's been charged by the Dark Council to commit harmful deeds. We get to attend a gorgeous Elfin wedding, meet the hot ready for adventure human Asher, and creep around with Culley, the Dark Council leaders Audun's son. I can't wait to see what else Amy has in store for her readers in the next installment!Everyone should be loved like this!
5By Jersey1902This book is the fourth in the series and I enjoyed it just as much as the others. The story flows so quickly before you know it it's over and your anxiously awaiting the next installment. This book was chock full of Lad and Ryann which I have been craving since Hidden Deep and it also introduced some new characters with their own secrets and attributes. I also loved having the story told from other characters points of view in addition to Ryann. Lad of course being my personal favorite. Luckily for us May is not that far away, Looking forward to Hidden Danger...Definitely met my expectations (and made me cry)
5By TheSpecificSarahAfter reading the first three books of the Hidden series, I absolutely needed to read the fourth book, "Hidden Darkness" and was extremely satisfied when I did. Similar to the other books in the series, Amy Patrick does an excellent job with the plots and character development. She introduces new characters and manages to create a serious internal conflict inside me when it comes to whether or not I love certain characters because she does a great job exposing different sides of the characters through varying perspectives. The plot itself is very intricate and definitely took me on an emotional roller coaster. While reading the book, I had moments when I couldn't help but smile ridiculously, but also had moments of severe anxiety (thanks to the wonderful suspense) and found myself in tears because I didn't know how else to feel. Overall, I highly recommend reading this fourth book (although odds are, if you've already read the first three, I'm sure you don't even need me to tell you that this fourth one is great). We get to see all the characters we've grown to love and more, and we get to experience the love, sorrow, anger, excitement, and even grief that they all feel. Reading it was quite the experience (I wasn't able to put it down at all) and I'm sure when others read it, they'll agree with me too. Happy reading!
