Loved every heart pounding, action packed, fun fill turn in this journey.

Love comes in many forms. Erin's writing of this book shows the many dimensions of the word "love". Emotions play a big part of the story of a young daughter, Charli, her mother, Rachel, Alex, her father, and a new martial arts instructor named Maya. The story of Charli & her father finding each other, plus dealing with the different forms of the disease, hemophilia, is so touching. Their common ground is "Super Heroes" & learning to deal with the disease. Finding one's self & acknowledging what is important in your life, makes the book even more meaningful. Wish I could give it more than 5 Stars! Loved it!!!!

My heart melted so many times in this book. Maya and Alex are opposites but they find their chemistry unbeatable. Maya, ex-cop after an injury is now a martial arts instructor/ geek and Alex is a physician involved in research. Alex has just found out that he has a nine year old daughter and only wants the best for her. They are soon working together to make the best for Charli, Alex's daughter. Loved, loved Alex, such an awesome dad to Charli, involved in research to make his life and Charli's better with hemophilia and sexy as ever. Maya, total geek, daring and living in the moment. Loved this line, "having tingles where I haven't tingled in a long time, this is how I felt reading this book. I'm sorry Zach, you will need to move over for Alex, as my new book boyfriend.

I absolutely loved the first book in this series and I was totally intrigued by Maya and Sophie. I was so excited to read Maya's story, the open book, go all out friend that was introduced in the first book. Even though this is the second book in the series, it can definitely be read as a standalone (but book one was amazing so you should definitely read that too!!). After a significant injury, Maya had to leave the police force. Now she teaches martial arts and helps kids figure out what characteristics they want to build by using superheroes to accomplish that. Maya doesn't let her limitations from her injury limit her. She lives life to the fullest every day. Alex recently learned about his nine year old daughter and is trying to find a way to connect with her. Given her obsession with comics and a certain superhero movie series, he meets Maya and tries to learn everything he can about the world his daughter is obsessed with. From the moment they see each other, the connection is undeniable. But Maya and Alex are opposites in almost every way so can they be more than just chemistry? I love the interactions between Maya and Alex. Maya's ramblings and Alex's constant questions kept me laughing for a lot of this book. On the surface, they are opposites but not in the ways that it really matter. They are both very protective of their loved ones, super smart, and passionate. I couldn't put this book down once I started but I never wanted it to end. I am very much looking forward to the next book in this series!! *This is my voluntary review of an advanced reader copy*

Love this series

I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars, I loved it that much. Alex is my new book boyfriend...and I don't take that lightly! He was amazing. And I want Maya to be my new best friend. And Charli to be friends with my kids and Rachel was the perfect mom. I cried the last 6% of this book...happy tears! This book is one of my favorites by far!

This was an amazing book! I spent entire time sighing, awww-ing, and laughing. There might have been a discreet tear dropping down my face at the end too. Alex and Maya were so wonderful together and separately, I wish they were my real friends so I could have seen them fall in love in real life. Rachel was great, Charli was a sweetie, and Maya's friends? I need their stories NOW. They better have stories, Ms. Nicholas. Your dedicated fans (like me) will demand them.

Just WOW! I feel a little bit speechless over this book. I love Erin Nicholas' stories. All of them. They all get to me on a different level. I have to say though, this is one of my top favorites of hers. She has totally blown me away. I always talk about how much I love the hero. Alex is no different. I love him in a big way. He is incredible. Sexy, swoony, sweet, great dad, friend, DOCTOR! But, can I just say, that I have the biggest girl crush on Maya!!!!??? Everything about her blew me away. She was amazing. Simply amazing. I loved her in the first book of this series and I couldn't wait to get her story. What I wasn't prepared for was that I would totally fall in love with her. She was just so cool!!! I want to be her. Strong, independent, balls to the wall, no isn't an option, the list goes on. She has the personality I wish I had! Maya was perfect for Alex. She was exactly what he needed to push him outside of his perfect little boxes. What an awesome match up. And can we talk about the secondary characters? I always want more from Erin's stories, but I REALLY want the stories of these friends. I loved Rachel. You'll meet her and you'll see why! ;) And I need more of Ben. But Sophie! I can't wait to get to know her better. Not only was the love story between Alex and Maya perfect, but so was the relationship with Alex and Charli, Alex and Rachel, Maya and Ben, Maya and the girls, Maya and Charli! You're going to get so many emotions out of this book. So many feels!!! Happy reading!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOVED this story!! Alex is deliciously yummy, I think we all need one like him. Good father, doctor, sexy, protective. Yep, delicious. Finding out he's a father to a nine year old daughter could have thrown him over the edge but he took it in stride, embraced it, and now he'll do whatever he can to give her a good life. It troubles him that she's afflicted with the same bleeding disorder that he has had to deal with his whole life and he wants to be sure she gets the chance to experience life more than he did. Maya is daring and not afraid of anything. She lives life full out and makes no apologies. When Alex shows up at her martial arts studio looking to learn a little about the things his daughter enjoys she is immediately attracted to him. She doesn't let the fact that he has baggage deter her. But can the daring ex-cop and the play it safe doc really have it all?? This book is wonderfully written and I just adored the characters. I learned quite a bit reading this one as well. Definitely a book I recommend to everyone.
