Description

I was destined for stardom.
From the age of seven, I was an all-star.
Parents praised me, coaches worshipped me.
As I got older, girls begged for me.
I was Beltline’s baseball God, guaranteed to put this small town on the map.

Then, after one night, that future vanished.

The legend was laid to rest.
I gave up my scholarship.
I fled from Beltline.
I left the girl behind.

Now, I’m back.

The book goes through too many unnecessary problems and feelings. The author wanted to make this book super complex and ruined the book. The length of the book vs the progress of the story aren’t matched. The book is too long for the simple storyline.

Rounding Third by Michelle Lynn is the first standalone in a new series. I'm not sure what the series will be called but I can't wait for the next book ;-) Beautifully written with interspersed flashbacks to the event that changed both Crosby and Ella's lives irrevocably this is my kryptonite. A second-chance romance that has a tragedy that they have to work through together to get to their ultimate and well-deserved happily ever after. An absolute pleasure to read, the words just flowed right off the page leaving me turning the page to the complete disregard of everything else around me. Crosby and Ella are flawed and human and the secondary characters are just as integral to the story as the main characters. The conflict is painful and deep but the end result is completely worth the ride!

This was a beautifully written 2nd chance romance. I absolutely loved everything about this book from the plot to the characters created. This was and emotional read and I was left feeling every word and all the heartache that Crosby and Ella had gone through. At times I wanted to reach the the pages and wrap my arms around them. The banter was fun and the chemistry was very strong. I loved that even though Crosby and Ella were struggling with such a horrible tragedy that their characters were still very strong and the love they had for each other was undeniable even at such a young age. And they way they fought for each other was beautiful. This was written in the POV of both Crosby and Ella and is a standalone. I highly recommend!!!
