Fifth grade was the worst year of Marc’s life. He stunk at gym class, math was too hard for him, the school lunch was horrible, and his class field trip was ruined because he couldn’t swim. But what was most awful thing about fifth grade? Kenny Williamson, the class bully, who calls himself the "King of the Jungle."
When Marc's mother tells him that his Uncle Jake is coming to stay for the whole summer, Marc can't wait. Uncle Jake is a for real, super-cool Navy SEAL. And Uncle Jake has a plan.
He's going to turn Marc into a warrior.
Becoming a warrior isn’t easy. It means a lot of pull ups, sit ups, pushups, squats, swimming, eating right, and studying harder than ever before! Can Marc transform himself into a warrior before school starts in the fall – and finally stand up to the King of the Jungle himself?
The Way of the Warrior Kid is a new illustrated chapter book by #1 New York Times-bestselling author and retired Navy SEAL Jocko Willink.

5By h qinnI love this book because it’s basically the best way to learn how to stand up to bullies. As a person who had issues with a bully I can definitely relate to the kid in the book if I had the chance to talk to 6 year old me right now I would say try to stand up to bullies and don’t give up! I definitely recommend this book to anyone who has issues with bullies or is a little kid-H. QinnLove it so much

5By JSmiley357I loved the book. My 9 year old is reading it now. I love how Marc sees the changes in himself. How he see through self-discipline he made himself a person he is proud of. If I can built that in my kids now, they are equipped to win the war as teenagers, when a lot more temptations are coming at them.Just finished reading with my girls. They loved it.
5By Smith BoykinShort chapters, perfect for a quick bedtime reading. And simple, practical lessons, perfect for kids to easily implement with a little support. And all were entertained... and immediately went out for a pull-up assessment and summer plan of action!Awesome

5By DustyRay11Example: My 5 year old who has had two heart surgeries now says anything given to him. Quoina to peppers to steak to ribs to salmon to shrimp. All in simple form no sauces or breading needed. My 8 year old threw away his wimpy kid books and asked for a back yard gym. I built them all one. CroMags, Black Flag, Pistols, Descendents, Mad Ball, and JOCKO. Thank you!
