Read The Last Mrs. Parrish before you pick up the new, instant New York Times bestseller, The Next Mrs. Parrish!
A mesmerizing debut about a coolly manipulative woman and a wealthy "golden couple," from a stunning new voice in psychological suspense.
Amber Patterson is fed up. She’s tired of being a nobody: a plain, invisible woman who blends into the background. She deserves more—a life of money and power like the one blond-haired, blue-eyed goddess Daphne Parrish takes for granted.
To everyone in the exclusive town of Bishops Harbor, Connecticut, Daphne—a socialite and philanthropist—and her real-estate mogul husband, Jackson, are a couple straight out of a fairy tale.
Amber’s envy could eat her alive . . . if she didn't have a plan. Amber uses Daphne’s compassion and caring to insinuate herself into the family’s life—the first step in a meticulous scheme to undermine her. Before long, Amber is Daphne’s closest confidante, traveling to Europe with the Parrishes and their lovely young daughters, and growing closer to Jackson. But a skeleton from her past may undermine everything that Amber has worked towards, and if it is discovered, her well-laid plan may fall to pieces.
With shocking turns and dark secrets that will keep you guessing until the very end, The Last Mrs. Parrish is a fresh, juicy, and utterly addictive thriller from a diabolically imaginative talent.

4By Puppymom29This book will certainly hold your interest, but is disturbing and unfortunately realistic. Two of the characters are abhorrent creatures to the point I almost stopped reading the book. Liv Constantine did a wonderful job of painting the lives of these odious creatures and then makes you compassionate towards Daphne. I would probably given this five stars, but it will take me some to recover.Page Turner
4By Iriskenia FernandezSo listen, the book was everything I was looking for, I’m not going to give out a single ounce of detail so that you can be the judge, but I will say this, the two leading female characters had the same internal voice, that was basically the only thing about the book that I didn’t like. Amber’s character is well rounded and formed since her part of the story is the first to begin, once you get to Daphne’s side of the story you can hear the author instead of truly getting to know who Daphne is. Once I read Daphne’s side of the story I realized that the Author can’t create a new persona that truly distinguishes the two strong leading female characters. Daphne’s character naturally opposes Ambers since she is the complete opposite in regards to how Daphne thinks compared to Amber, the problem is that Daphne’s internal dialogue was the same as Amber’s internal dialogue the only difference is that Daphne’s emotions were the exact opposite of Amber’s, so it made Daphne so predictable and boring. Their characters were similar in their way of going about things and at some point of the book the credibly was lost and its substance was also lost. It seemed to me that the author has a hard time being able to create personalities with different quirks and mannerisms and internal dialogue I feel like she needed to use different syntax or even diction to truly set them apart, but I felt like I was hearing Liv’s voice when I read Daphne’s internal dialogue and it sullied the book because I didn’t buy into Daphne’s persona. The story in itself was fantastic, but Daphne was truly two dimensional while Amber’s character was well rounded. Even Jackson’s Character was better developed. In regards to the story, I was gripped emotionally, and throughly entertained, I read the book in three days and I was thrown for a loop up until Daphne’s side of the story, after that I knew exactly where the story was headed. The ENDING was so so so anti climatic, nothing was clever about it, I thought of a million different endings that truly could have given the readers the satisfaction we were looking for. Amber and Jackson kinda “got away” with it, because the author gave such a “realistic” ending to an intense fiction story. Anyway, I hope I didn’t give anything away, and if you want to be entertained and like girly things like Gossip Girl etc your going to really enjoy this.Kept my interest
