Falling for Her Brother's Best Friend
By Noelle Adams
- Release Date: 2017-06-07
- Genre: Contemporary Romance
Description
After too many bad decisions in romance, Emma is going on a man-fast. For the next six months, she's fasting from men. No sex. No dating. No soulful gazes. No fond memories of her first crush. She's going to spend the time focusing on her career, getting in touch with herself, and helping her two best friends with the launch of their new tea room. No men.
And that includes her brother's best friend, Noah Hart, who has just returned to their hometown.
She doesn't want Noah anyway. He might be even hotter than he was before, but he's not a nice guy anymore. He's made a fortune by acting ruthless in business, and the last thing he's looking for is small-town domestic life. He doesn't even want to be in town again, but a sick grandmother guilted him into it. Then he has nerve to not even recognize Emma when he sees her again. Maybe it's been seven years, but a decent guy would remember his best friend's little sister.
Noah is not a decent guy. Anyway, Emma is on a man-fast. And she doesn't want Noah.
At all.
Fifteen years ago, three girls were thrown together because their brothers were best friends. Now they're all grown up, and their brothers are grown up too. The Tea for Two series tells their stories.
Reviews
It was pretty disappointing
1By hallie the haterNormally, I’m into longer books so there is more time for world building and building up to the climax, but I decided to take a risk with this book for a quick read and I was sorely disappointed. I truly could not understand Emma and Noah connection, it just felt so lustful and forced. Everything moved so quickly I didn’t even have a chance to understand the characters motives before they started kissing. As a bigger girl I just felt so disappointed for Emma because she became “prettier” in Noah eyes and her old self got the best of her, Noah did not look at her once in high school but now she was all pretty he was going all for it and I just felt utterly disgusted by his behavior. I think it instilled that idea a man will only like you if you look a certain way and that’s a terrible idea for any younger woman reading this book. I think this book had a good plot, excluding Noah only liking her once she was hot, but this author did not have the care to add depth and personality into it. I felt no spark or connection to anyone or anything in this book. All in all, this book felt repetitive, lacking depth, was disrespectful, and could’ve been executed a LOT better, I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone and do not how I got through it, honestly.it was okay
3By ollietheottertherian🐾it was very sex driven, i heavily dislike how the entire series isnt the same price.Lovely story

5By Nanabanana55Very good storyline, thoroughly enjoyed it, can’t wait to read the rest of the books.Disappointing
1By Father FoundThe characters acted more like young teenagers than professionals in their twenties, especially Ginny. Did not like her at all. She butted in where she was not needed. Will not be finishing this series.Just my kind of thing
5By Pink cat 8ITS SO INTRIGUING AS IF ITS READING MY MIND!! When I read 2 pages of it I was already amused by it as if I’m reading my own book!!! Though I don’t like the inappropriate thing between Noah and Emma but it’s still interesting if you continuously do what you do.3 Stars!
3By ~Mindy Lou~I'm usually a big fan of Noelle's books but this one was just ok for me. I had a hard time liking Noah's character. His father leaving them as kids has affected him to the point that he never comes home and has no ties. He's driven and successful, but doesn't commit. His reluctance to pursue Emma and his constant flaking on her kept me from truly loving this story. This is more a personal preference since I prefer a Hero that goes after the woman he wants. This still has the great writing that Noelle Adams is known for. ARC provided by NetGalley.Just my cup of tea!
5By BellesradWhat an amazingly well-written book! I loved everything about it: the brother's best friend theme, the fun, chillax interaction between all the characters (they've all known each other since they were kids. Nan! Who. An fall in love with a wonderful Grandma?! Oh my! And the sizzling sexual tension you get when Emma and Noah are together in a room... It was awesome! Noelle Adams gave us a wonderful HEA romance, and I look forward to reading the other two books. Off to pre-order the 2nd one!
