These books draw me back to them again and again. Great story, complicated characters, and steamy encounters.

Another great story by Blair. Loved the true friendship that Arthur has with Casimir & Maxence. They were there for him whenever he needed. The love between Arthur & Gen that showed the length they would go for the other. There were some unexpected turns as well. Loved it as I have of all Blair's books.

I received as an ARC. This was a great end for Arthur and Gen. Well written and all the ups and downs that keep the story moving and wanting just a few more hours to read, because you want to find out how it ends.

As always with this author, the story is great, characters are wonderful, and writing is solid. I've read each of her books and never been disappointed and there is never the same book- only cross-over characters:)

Hard Liquor, the follow up to Stiff Drink, is quite the ride! It offers great characters, good drama, awesome sex, and unexpected plot twists. I enjoyed every bit of it and recommend it highly. This review provided by an ARC advanced reader. It is my original, unbiased opinion.

Gen is trying to gain tenancy, and her test is to win the most difficult case the law firm is handling, while trying to make sure that her mother is well cared for after her stroke. She has a brilliant mind, but will it be enough? Arthur is fighting his brother over the family’s Earldom, trying hard not to fall in love with Gen, and keep his other job “under wraps”. He’s a notorious playboy, wastrel on the outside, but so much more on the inside! Blair is an amazing author and always keeps you on the edge of your seat with the twists and turns, the unbelievable suspense and hot (and sometimes kinky) love scenes. She is a master at developing characters, making you believe there is no way that the story will end well, then BAM a new twist to put you back on the edge of your seat waiting to see what will happen next. It’s awesome that she weaves the characters from other series into each story for more depth. As always, she leaves you wanting more. Arthur and Gen’s story is no different. Blair had me laughing at some of the outrageous things that happened, scared to death for the next person’s safety, crying over what might have been, and loving all of the hot romance. I can’t wait to see what adventures she will have in store for us in Flicka’s story! I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review, but also purchased this book.

This book is absolutely bloody brilliant! I have read every single work by author Blair Babylon and I always end up thinking that her current book is my absolute favorite when I make it to the final page of the story. Ms. Babylon is truly a phenomenal writer, able to weave a tale with such vivid word choice and imagery that I truly feel like I am right there among the heat and action. As with each previous novel or short story of hers that I have completed reading, I now find myself impatiently waiting for her next book to be released. Every time I get my hands on a new release of hers, I completely devour every word and every page of the story. Now I am left emotionally spent, yet happy, having to wait who knows how long until I receive my next Blair Babylon fix. Arthur and Gen's story is chock full of all of the components that make the author's stories so addictive: endearing lead and secondary characters that are never fully as they initially seem; loin melting, panty dropping sexual chemistry; enough twists, turns and valleys in the plot to keep the most ardent "whodunit" fans guessing right up to the end; and my favorite, the reappearance of previous characters that add a richness to the story that newly introduced characters just never could develop. My only wish (and this is petty) was that Casimir would have brought Roxanne with him to the wedding. She was sorely missed in this book, especially since Casimir played such a major role in the story. Every other aspect of the book was P.E.R.F.E.C.T!!! (There are not many published books that I would say this about!) I can't wait to read Max's story. I can only begin to imagine the different ways that Blair Babylon will twist his story and blow my mind. I'm absolutely giddy in anticipation! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Read Copy of this book. Loved it so much, so I bought it as well!

Passion, intrigue, passion, suspense, passion, love, friends, loyalty. Do you sense a theme? The continued story of Arthur Finch-Hatten and Gen comes to a conclusion that is satisfying and makes your heart feel good. A must read.

Hard Liquor is utter perfection with its sizzling mystery, undeniable passion, and mind-blowing twists that catapult it into the realm of fantastically, true bliss. This is romantic suspense at its absolute finest! If you are looking for a refined yet genre-blasting story that will feed your intelligence along with your heart, then you have found the object of your obsession. Blair Babylon will feed your passion and set your imagination alight with her limitless possibilities and awe-inspiring imagination. On one side of a gaping, bottomless chasm, we have a woman who has learned to claw and sweat for every single inch of ground that she has gained to rise from the bottom of her mountain. She knows better than most the value of hard work and the wonder and satisfaction of earning each milestone that she has risen above. She is heading up the ladder of her aspirations, and nothing and no one will slow her down or stop her. On the opposite side, we have a man who lives life on the edge of society while charming everyone to stay in their good graces. His life appears to be charmed, but he is forced to even relinquish even a small amount of control to another, he is forced to see that not everyone is as simple as he once thought. Complexity is just a swirl of shadow and misdirection that swallows up the simple as seen by the mindless masses, but all it takes is one person to clear the mist that hides the very essence of a broken and lovely soul. Can love truly conquer the endless darkness between these two, or will the strict rules of life be the end of all that we have only just begun to see and understand? If any good advice exists, it would be to allow your heart to lead. Even as contrite as that might sound, it will not allow you to disappear in the dark shadows never to be seen from again. It will dare to pull you from your bed of quicksand and put your feet on solid ground. Our fantastic characters found this out the hard way. They were forced to trust blindly in the other especially against their better judgment. The courage and strength that they possessed is a true inspiration to the chaos and anger that swirls around us every day. Staying true to yourself will be the greatest test and accomplishment that you will ever achieve in your lifetime. Don’t underestimate those around you, and don’t let them fall away into despair. Grab their hand and pull them back to reason and hope before it’s too late. Blair Babylon is a testament to the extraordinary beauty, grace, and talent that is quickly fading around us. More than anything, we long to experience the pure and living creation that is well written and heart imbued hope in the form of words breathed into the universe that will eventually find its way in our very soul. Readers can breathe a sigh of contentment and relief to ingest and savor the incredibly soul nourishing and heart transforming words from this spectacular author. I have yet to read anything from her that doesn’t touch me deeply and sincerely every time I pick up one of her breathtaking masterpieces.
