Description

When Vivian left town for a three-month residency, she had no idea that she'd come back to find her life turned upside down. The casual boyfriend who'd seemed ready to commit?Changed his mind. The job she'd loved so much? Gone The parents she'd assumed would be there for emotional support? Off on the adventure of their lives. When she realizes that she's essentially homeless, jobless and boyfriend-less, Vivian knows something has to change. She needs to take charge. Inspired by her aunt's idea that a girl has to kiss at least fifty frogs to find her prince, Vivian comes up with a plan: she's going to go on a series of first dates only, and each one must end in a kiss. She'll chronicle each date--the good, the bad, and the downright unbelievable--and turn the stories into an in-depth magazine series about the realities of dating in the twenty-first century. While none of the frogs she meets--and kisses--make her heart leap, there's a guy closer to home who definitely does . . . and despite the fact that Charlie always seems to catch Vivian at her most awkward and embarrassing moments, she can't help wondering if it's time to ditch the plan . . . and kiss just one more frog.

Great story, I really liked the heroine in this story. The article she wants to write is about dating, all the difficulties about finding a date and hopefully finding the right partner. And that according to her aunt you have to kiss a certain amount of frogs until you find your prince. So we follow her finding a few frogs and some of those experiences are both horrible and hilarious. Does she really have to kiss 50 frogs, of will her prince rescue her before that? Awesome book, I definitely want to read more from this author!

I really enjoyed this book. Great dialogue - lots of clever chat and just enough innuendo. The main characters were people I imagine I’d like to meet. The “frogs” that Vivian encountered were pretty hilarious. I never felt the convoy was entirely a sure thing, and it was a fun read from beginning to end. Looking forward to reading more in this series.

This book was good, felt like a fairly easy read and like it wasn’t just the same old romance story. I will say the first chapter after the very initial scene felt a little drawn out for me until the last couple pages, but hang in there and it gets much better! Lots of parts that made me laugh! I would give 4.5 stars if I could!

What do you do when all the parts of your life implode all at the same time - job, boyfriend, and home? If you’re Vivian, you move in with your quirky aunt and you come up with a quirky plan that should get everything back on track. In this case to write an article about fifty (give or take) dates with frogs that end in kisses in order to find a Prince Charming. In between dating her frogs there is Charlie who lives in the neighborhood and who may be a non-frog. This book has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, side splitting hilarity, sexy times, real life issues, and love - expect to laugh and to swoon. The book also has relatable characters, witty dialogue, and an engaging storyline.

Fifty Frogs is a delightful read focusing on the story of Vivian who returns from a three month residency only to find herself without a job, boyfriend and home. She ends up staying with her aunt who tells her you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince. Vivian decides to write a newspaper article about contemporary dating which she researches by going on multiple single dates and ending each one with a kiss. Along the way she meets Charlie and they begin a crazy journey finding love. I really enjoyed this delightful and humorous romance. This book is a fresh breath. You will fly through the pages on the adventure to remember what is important in life. You know, searching for your true self and the person who will make you happy just to be with the rest of your life is a trial and error. It doesn’t take kissing 50 frogs when your heart is on board. Find a friend, have fun, see where it goes. Learning these lessons may be a difficult road to take, but if you find the right one, even if it has always been under your nose, you wake up a take a breath.Smile and start the rest of your life.
