Ruckus
By Zoe Dawson
- Release Date: 2017-06-02
- Genre: Contemporary Romance
Description
He was sent to eliminate a threat. He found the one woman he can’t let go.
Navy SEAL Bowie "Ruckus" Cooper is no stranger to high-risk missions, but nothing prepares him for finding a captured American reporter deep in hostile territory. Now separated from his team, protecting Dana Sorenson becomes his new priority—whether she likes it or not.
Dana’s fearless reporting brought her to the edge of danger. Ruckus pushes her right over it. He’s gruff, commanding, and way too sexy for a man who gives orders like they’re law. But surviving the jungle is nothing compared to surviving him.
He’s her only shot at getting out alive. She might be his only shot at something real.
Forced proximity. Relentless danger. Off-the-charts chemistry.
Ruckus kicks off the adrenaline-fueled SEAL Team Alpha series—perfect for fans of alpha protectors, fierce heroines, and heart-pounding romance.

Not for me
1By Anne42JaneThis unfortunately did not really work for me. Bowie and Dana were okay as characters, but the chemistry felt off between the two of them. At the beginning of the book some of Bowie's internal dialogue was inappropriate for their situation. Then there was his insistence on calling her cupcake even when she asked him not to in order to annoy her. Plus, it stretched credulity for them to be running for their lives from drug runners through the jungle and they stop to have sex. What?!?! That seriously makes no sense. Also, the ending with Bowie's mom felt too nonsensical to be realistic. One meeting and all of the pain and bad feelings are just over? The whole "solution" just felt rushed and not well thought out. Since I seem to be in the minority maybe this book just wasn't for me. YMMV Warnings: attempted rape, domestic violenceGood story

5By Ashlee SuzanneGive me more. Could not put it down! Now On to Chaos.Page induced nausea
1By SoFlo-YoPoorly written and structured . The characters were nauseating at best, especially “Dana” whom the reader would rather see left behind in the jungle for her overall ignorance and stupidity. Absolutely loved the “plight of immigrants” crap story line shovelled to the reader.... oh geez... I think I just barfed into my mouth again🤢4stars
4By Evieo17This was a good start to the series. Dana did drive me crazy though. Sometimes I liked her and sometimes I just wanted to smack her.Loved
5By viro1963I loved this book from start to finish. Enjoyed the well developed and engaging characters and the storyline flowed smoothly keeping my attention. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.Ruckus
5By Wanda K McDI have just finished the book *sigh*. I have read some good books lately by very talented writers, but I have to say this is a GREAT book. Makes me want to be a cupcake. When I can afford it, hopefully in the near future, I’ll for sure be reading the next one! I hate being on disability for more than one reason, but not being able to afford a few things I want each month gets old really quick. I’ll keep my fingers cross to can read all of them soon, though. It’s worth a sacrifice here and there for a book this great!Niiice

5By Read nickGreat book. Loved the action between Ruckus and Dana. Never got boring. The story was real, nothing silly or dumb. Enjoyed reading every bit of it.Great start to this series!
5By Christine Miller28What a great start to this new series! Ruckus and his crew are SEAL brothers who find themselves on a mission to take down a target, Hector Salazar, who is a drug lord in Panama. What the team doesn't expect to find is a fiesty reporter and her team in the drug lord's house. Dana is writing a human rights story and it's near and dear to her heart since she is doing it for her mom. When Ruckus and his team rescue her, she is definitely not a damsel in distress. The chemistry between Ruckus and Dana is hot and you can feel the tension between them from the first time they meet. Their journey out of the jungle is a non-stop action story. The story is well written and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I loved watching Dana weasel her way into Ruckus's heart. He never knew what hit him. Ruckus and Dana both helped each other to let go of the past so they could be each other's future. I loved the set up of meeting the team, too. I can't wait to see each of these alpha men meet their match as their stories are told. Great romantic suspense! Loved it!
