I really love this book, but there is one thing that stood to me. I saw the comment that said have this book and it wasn’t very positive. It had a one star and I just want to say if you’re not going to be positive about what you’re going to write in your comments, please do not comment at all you’re just spreading negativity and that’s just a fact. But anyways, this book is awesome. I own it, and I read all the stories like the big toe the girl who stood on the grave.

These were some of my favorite books as a kid. I had to add it to my collection. It’s a good book to have if you’re not good at telling scary stories to the kids sitting next to a campfire. This might be a controversial take, but I recommend this for kids who are into scary movies. I know back in the day there was an attempt to get these books banned but they were just as key to my childhood as “Where’s Waldo”.

I’ve never seen the movie Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, but I’ve read all three of these books. Like many people, I grew up with these books and, for anyone, absolutely any reader of any age looking for a great collection of horror stories, the kind of classic chillers to be told around a campfire, these books come highly recommended! This first bone-chilling collection features a dozen nightmares like The Big Toe, The Thing, The Haunted House, Cold as Clay, The Wendigo, Room for One More, Alligators, The Hook, The White Satin Evening Gown, High Beams, and The Babysitter, among other scare fests that are guaranteed to make you scream! I recommend telling these stories in the dark to scare friends, but I recommend reading them in a brightly lit room!

To all the people saying "oh the wait blah blah" and rating like one star, you're supposed to rate for the book, not the publishing.Also, yeah the book is old, but it was recently added because of the films and how popular they are.So if you say something about how long it's taking to come out, or about how old it is, you're being idiotic.These books are great and should be given more than what they're getting.

Reminds me of being a kid. My cousins and I would get in a dark closet and use a flashlight and read these stories. It was always so fun and we’d always creep ourselves out. Great memories and I hope the movie lives up to expectations!

it brought me back to my elementary school days

“I preordered this in June, this book is old” blah blah blah!!’ Go get a physically copy at your local book story or online, quit complaining.

I love these books, I remember getting them when I was 10. My grandmother sent me them, it came with an audio tape. These stories were super scary, but If you love good old time ghost stories you’ll love em!

So apparently there’s going to be a movie based on these books, which I’m guessing is the reason for the release date for these being pushed back so far. It’s silly cause these books are old, but that’s my best guess as to why.

I agree These books have been out since I was a kid I remember reading them well I was in elementary school I have been wanting to get these on my iPhone/iPad for camping with my kids as my original books has been read through so many times they have literally fallen apart my kids will be adults by the time these books come out the wait is absolutely ridiculous the books themselves to get five stars no doubt Also the wait isn’t changing just in the Apple iBooks store it’s the same story on the Kindle as well as my wife has one and we check it there too Seriously what’s going on with these books?????????????

I had this preordered since June and it still hasn’t came out? Now they’re saying its not releasing until 2019??? It’s an old book, this is ridiculous.

So what’s going on here? The date is now being released for August. 2019. Yes. 2019. what the hell? Screw this waiting game. It became ridiculous.

Best book ever, even the series!!!! I’m gonna be doing a lot of begging to my husband for these book and the rest of the series.

I bought this pre-order back in April when it said it would be available in May. When May rolled around it said it’ll be expected in June. Now it’s almost June and it says August?!? I loved these books as a kid, but I hate getting the run around, especially when I already paid for it.

Why??? This is an old book???
