This could have been a great little book but just as things get going, the book abruptly ends! I hope the author completes the book and republishes.

I’m a sucker for what’s taboo and this right here hit all of my buttons. A sweet yet sassy heroine and a smooth cool male lead. The supporting characters were top notch and I loved loved loved that the main character was a writer with her head on straight. Just chef’s kiss!

Loved Cassie and Carter, but it’s a short book, and the ending feels off. Many details are mentioned and then never revisited.

It was a really quick read, and aside from a few grammatical errors, the writing was great. Funny and intriguing characters that held my attention, but it jumped from the climax to the epilogue without any attempt at showing the descending action. It left the book feeling distinctly unfinished, as if there was a cliffhanger, but you know how things turn out due to the epilogue. Perhaps I’m alone in wishing to see the actual drama of the ending rather than being told how the characters reacted.

Cute short story. Very quick read so it felt like things developed quickly in the story but it all made sense and was entertaining!

This was a great story, had all the right elements, the chemistry between Carter and Cassie drew you in and made you want to keep reading. Then the story ended with no sequel. There were so many parts of the story left untold that I felt completely shocked when I saw The End. I wish the story hadn’t ended so abruptly, I feel like there is still enough material left for a sequel, it was a little bit of a let down. I still loved the characters and the storyline itself though.

I read this entire book with a smile on my face and excitement in my heart. The author is obviously talented and has a great sense of humor. That being said the book ended way too abruptly... Like it just stopped right at the climax.. It left me wanting to know more.. What happened at the Halloween party? When did they realize how they felt about each other? How did Michelle take the news? Does she still think he wants casual when he doesn’t? I could go on and on... This book needs a novella or something to answer those questions. Or the book just needs to be finished.. I am left wanting more.

I really enjoyed it but the ending just did not feel right. Like really a chapter ends and the epilogue is there and it just leaves a bad impression to me. Loved it great work but really wish there was a little more before the epilogue.

I read the other reviews before reading and saw where everyone claimed it had an abrupt ending but I thought I’d give it a shot anyway. It literally ended in mid paragraph, almost mid-sentence! Like slamming on the brakes in the middle of the road! Sweet characters & a great story but it just ended.

Just want a second book or something. Leaving readers hanging makes them not wanna read anymore books by you because it’ll disappoint more. Finish them better or come out with a second one!!

Started out great, then ended abruptly. Why cut off a great book? When I pay for books, I expect a complete book. I would love to read more from this author but is it worth it when you only get a small portion?
