I knew most of it towards the end but it was a treat to “hear” what happened from her perspective. What a great journey; i felt honored to be able to be on it with her! As another African American woman, I loved the intelligence and patience she discovered within herself even when she, her daughters or husband faced the simple challenge of trying to do for others because others have done for them. I wish The First Black family all the love their hearts can hold. This message comes from a Texas gal to a South Side chick.
