THE INSIDE STORY ON PRESIDENT TRUMP, AS ONLY BOB WOODWARD CAN TELL IT
With authoritative reporting honed through nine presidencies, author Bob Woodward reveals in unprecedented detail the harrowing life inside President Donald Trump’s White House and precisely how he makes decisions on major foreign and domestic policies.
Fear is the most intimate portrait of a sitting president ever published during the president’s first years in office. The focus is on the explosive debates and the decision-making in the Oval Office, the Situation Room, Air Force One and the White House residence.
Woodward draws from hundreds of hours of interviews with firsthand sources, meeting notes, personal diaries, files and documents. Often with day-by-day details, dialogue and documentation, Fear tracks key foreign issues from North Korea, Afghanistan, Iran, the Middle East, NATO, China and Russia. It reports in-depth on Trump’s key domestic issues particularly trade and tariff disputes, immigration, tax legislation, the Paris Climate Accord and the racial violence in Charlottesville in 2017.
Fear presents vivid details of the negotiations between Trump’s attorneys and Robert Mueller, the special counsel in the Russia investigation, laying out for the first time the meeting-by-meeting discussions and strategies. It discloses how senior Trump White House officials joined together to steal draft orders from the president’s Oval Office desk so he would not issue directives that would jeopardize top secret intelligence operations.
“It was no less than an administrative coup d’état,” Woodward writes, “a nervous breakdown of the executive power of the most powerful country in the world.”

Great
5By Building my cupGreat readNew information
1By FlyboymjmReading this now and the new reports coming from the Durham report puts much of the information in the “questionable” mode. Trump certainly has his faults but he was unmercifully persecuted by the media. Now we know the facts and he was falsely accused of much. Woodward should make a comment concerning same.Biased
1By jmilligan42Just another anti Trumper! Boring book! Very biased!!Solid good read!
5By GraphikoInsightful and incisive writing. Unmatched journalistic clarity. Mr. Woodward’s ability to shed light into the darkest reaches of the previous administration is as finely honed as ever.Terribly Biased
1By Ewik BayweeAbsolute garbage. How this sold 2 million copies amazes me. I guess any idiot can make money off of lying to their readersStupendous read!!!
5By asanders35👍🏽👍🏽Another great book!
5By PhaneufemBob Woodward continues to expose the biggest con-man and subversion on the American people that has ever been perpetuated. The legacy of this pathological lying affliction on the country will be just that. One star reviews are magats who can’t likely read and are at this very moment googling every word I am writing. Trump doesn’t care about you or anyone but himself. He’d sell his mother down the river for a buck.I love all the one-star ratings
5By Amo Legere LibrisIf there is an author and journalist I would trust to provide us with accurate reporting using anonymous sources for deep background, it’s Bob Woodward. Thank you for your years of reporting and being a check on right-wing, authoritarian government. The one-star ratings from the Right are some of the best promos for this book.Review
5By Apell@Good read. Entertaining. The same stuff the left always says...
1By BigBalls11Funny how the left will read this book and hold on to every word. Read “Profiles in Corruption” and “Secret Empire” as well. Is it any wonder that the left only talks about the same issues.... they have personal financial involvement (family or self) in all their interests. Making claims about Russia, China and and not showing tax’s.... it’s the ‘cheaters mentality’ bringing up the things they did and/or are doing but put the blame on the President, classic move but you are all not intelligent enough lol
