In this dark, suspenseful thriller, Alex North weaves a multi-generational tale of a father and son caught in the crosshairs of an investigation to catch a serial killer preying on a small town.
After the sudden death of his wife, Tom Kennedy believes a fresh start will help him and his young son Jake heal. A new beginning, a new house, a new town. Featherbank.
But the town has a dark past. Twenty years ago, a serial killer abducted and murdered five residents. Until Frank Carter was finally caught, he was nicknamed "The Whisper Man," for he would lure his victims out by whispering at their windows at night.
Just as Tom and Jake settle into their new home, a young boy vanishes. His disappearance bears an unnerving resemblance to Frank Carter's crimes, reigniting old rumors that he preyed with an accomplice. Now, detectives Amanda Beck and Pete Willis must find the boy before it is too late, even if that means Pete has to revisit his great foe in prison: The Whisper Man.
And then Jake begins acting strangely. He hears a whispering at his window...

5By gabriellekay12Great book! I really loved the ending.Strikingly thoughtful and simultaneously terrifying
5By MurderinoNugI’m a huge horror movie buff and this was my first go at a horror book. I’ve read many thrillers but there is something more eerie and resonant with The Whisper Man. Unpredictable at many points and does not patronize with a cliche storyline. Loved this book!Absolutely terrifying!
5By Freaky121Absolutely terrifying! This book kept me up at night. It was a quick read I enjoyed the pace of the book. Will definitely read more books by this author. The Whisper Man
5By ArtymusicianA scary book I could not put down until I knew the ending. Actions speak louder than words, and this book demonstrated the powerful influences for good or evil that fathers ( or mothers ) have on their children. Loved Pete, Tom, and Jake but Frank Carter was repulsive. Francis was also a monster, but also a victim. Every domestic violence victim should read this if uncertain about whether to leave an abusive relationship- especially when there are children. The harm is immeasurable.Slow burn
4By Crazy catchooLoved this book. It really got under my skin, especially at night. My only complaint was that it is slightly slow, but it is written well and kept me interested even through the slower parts.Horrifically Satisfying Experience
5By OzcromeThis is the most horrifying novel I think I have ever read. No chapter in any book I have ever read has scared me as much as Chapter 21. The fact that I also have some experiences in common with Tom Kennedy was especially unnerving. I highly recommend this novel.Yasssss
