4By shellyburger73So excited to read about Quincy! We got a glimpse of him from the SIN series. And then another glimpse of him in Damien. Shattered With You is part of the Stark Security series. This is a spin off from the Stark series. I feel that this series can be read as a stand alone. There are characters from the Stark and SIN series but not necessary to have the back stories of them before starting Shattered. But then again, you definitely will want to read the others at some point! Because they are amazing!!! Quince and Eliza met years ago in London and had a whirlwind romance when it suddenly ended. Eliza was devastated! She had no idea why Quince just left without any explanation. She needed closure. Then years later, Eliza gets her wish. Quince ends up at the same place she is and they re-connect. But not without excitement! Quince decided he was not going to make the same mistake twice and leave the woman be loves. I loved how these two reconnected so quickly and that Eliza didn’t hold a grudge. Especially when she knew the reasons to him leaving. This is a great start to the new series and I highly recommend this book!Two favorites...Love and Mystery!

We see our heroes both in the present as they work to solve a mystery and see how they met and fell for each other years ago and what drove them apart. These two met five years ago and with no warning Quincy had to up and leave without telling Eliza anything. Not even a good bye. Quincy knew that he had given Eliza his heart and that when he left he broke her and he would never be the same. Now five years later Eliza has found herself needing him for different reasons. Her sister is missing. A second chance love story has you excited to see where this goes. Sometimes you wonder if they can work out all the problems between them.Quincy will turn you down into a puddle of goo!

We knew he had a past that was going to put us through the wringer. Alas, Quincy is now part of the Stark Security. I was ecstatic that we started the series with his story. Eliza was bold, brave, and amazing! These two had a lot of passion between each other. It was quite frustrating when they were fighting it tooth and nail. But that is what I need in a story! I need to feel it all. The Stark Universe is coming alive book by book. I have never found an author as unique as J. Kenner. She is building her Stark empire. I love all of the characters that become part of this world. This is huge folks! It all started with two people who loved each other with . The Universe has imploded to alpha males that are damaged and heroines that are equal. They fulfill a need that makes them as whole. Shatter With You is crisp and sensual. The feeling you get reading this book is exciting. You know Kenner will deliver a story that will be tattooed in you mind for years to come! P.S. My one and only book husband makes a cameo. Quincy is shocked by Eliza’s presence but his mission needs another set of hands. This chance encounter leads them into the same mystery to find her sister and a kidnapped princess. Being thrown together in a fast-paced, intense situation causes all kinds of feelings to resurface. Will these two embrace this second chance for love? Or will Quincy let the ghosts that haunt him keep him from happiness? Loved the action as it kept me guessing. The chemistry between Eliza and Quincy is all-consuming and I gave Eliza credit for fighting for what she wanted. There are scenes that will have you cringing or reading with one eye. But there are shadows in your eyes, and I want to be the one to bring back some light.” Once again it was great to a get a glimpse of my favorite past characters...it’s odd to say that, because I swear they are real...I feel I know them so well! This book is Quincy & Eliza’s story and is a second chance love story that is action packed with suspense, danger and twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. I loved this book so much and highly recommend it!Second chances!

It takes some special characters and story to put a different spin on second chance romances, which this did. It was interesting to learn more about Quincy and the circumstances in which he joined Deliverance. I can’t wait for the next one.A great Spin off

The story of Eliza and Quince is very captivating, to say the least! From their time spent in the sheets, to finding each other in the most unlikely place, this story will keep you on you toes. Love the story and the characters and as usually this author grabbed me in from page one and wouldn't let me go until the end. Quincy is sexy and smart, and did I mention British? Yeah, that's right, that ups his sexy factor for sure. He is also a tortured soul who went through a horrible ordeal years earlier. He is now working for Stark Security. Eliza is also very smart and beautiful and quite worried about her sister who is missing. She too has had some very horrible things happen in her past. They meet again for the first time in years. She and Quincy had a relationship back then and she had thought they were in love, but he left after a few months without a word and broke her heart. Can these two who clearly have oodles of chemistry and even more clearly have not lost their feelings for each other, work together to help her sister Emma and to sort out the past in order to move forward together as a couple? You don't want to miss this new romantic suspense series that has plenty of all the good stuff, plus if you are a J Kenner fan, some of the familiar faces from the Stark world that we all know and love.
