Illustrated Stories from the Book of Mormon: Volume 3 retells the history of Lehi and his descendants from 2 Nephi 1 through Enos.

After the travels to the promised land, it required the constant teaching of priests and prophets to remind the people of their dependence on God. Lehi continued to teach his children from the plates of brass and the revelations he received from the Lord. He wished to bless all of his children before he died and called them all to him to receive some final instruction and his blessings. After Lehi died, the Lord commanded Nephi to take the righteous among his people and leave so that Laman and Lemuel will not kill Nephi. Nephi became a mighty prophet who lead his people in righteousness and taught them of the coming of the Savior, baptism, the Holy Ghost, and the Restoration of the  gospel in the latter days. The records contained on the plates of brass and the plates of Nephi are passed down to prophets and record keepers for future generations. The Nephites and the Lamanites had spread over the land and there began to be wars and contentions among them.
