Description

Jasper Blackstone has spent his entire life cleaning up the messes his powerful family leaves behind. Jasper Blackstone has spent his entire life cleaning up the messes his powerful family leaves behind. He’s to protect the family, control the fallout, and never lose composure.

It’s a role he wears so well that most people mistake him for cold. And maybe he is.
As the eldest Blackstone brother, Jasper learned long ago that love is weakness, trust is dangerous, and vulnerability gets people destroyed. So he keeps his distance from everyone—including the woman who unexpectedly arrives at Blackstone Manor and immediately threatens the careful control he’s spent years perfecting.
Holly Henderson is curious, defiant, and far too observant. And that makes her dangerous.
Worst of all, Jasper wants her.
What begins as irritation quickly becomes obsession. Because beneath her curious nature and guarded heart, Holly makes Jasper feel something he hasn’t allowed himself in a very long time:
Human.
Intrigued is a deeply emotional billionaire romance about forbidden attraction, family loyalty, dangerous secrets, and the powerful man who never planned to fall first. It’s the first book in The Forbidden Billionaire Trilogy in The Blackstones series by Z.L. Arkadie.

  • Love a good cliffhanger

I’m so glad this story was not wrapped up in one book. There are too many twists and questions to be answered. Ironically, Jasper seems like the sweetest of the brothers, he is just the eldest trying to handle things. It’s a spicy suspense story but the base of it is about a family that needs to break a bondage older than them… at least from my understanding so far. Definitely a great book if you read books by Aletha Romig and HD Carlton. It’s not a light romance read. Only those into dark romance should dabble here due to possible pending subject matter.

Shocked to learn this was written by a woman. Their word choices are certainly cringe worthy and outdated. But if you like that sort of thing, this is for you

You had me right up to your cliff hanger ending. I seriously DON’T LIKE CLIFF HANGERS. This book was free to me and I won’t buy or read any of your other books. Too bad because your writing style is good until the book ending.

Not a bad story but the author should be banned from selling books for failure to disclose it was a cliffhanger and not a complete book, no integrity in her for that.

I actually liked this book. I went into thinking it would be cheesy with a reporter investigating but as I kept reading, the secrets kept pulling me back in. Just bought book two…🤞🤞 it’s just as good

Interesting and fast-paced, it was hard to put down. On top of all that, it was wrapped in mystery! Definitely a must-read!

It was ok, but seemed all over the place. I can’t believe the author wants $4 for the next one. This, wasn’t that good.

I’m not going to lie the book was good. The sex scenes kind of all went the same but still good and the author kept the mystery behind the book very well. BUT the main character in my opinion is just plain stupid when I comes to Jasper. It’s not even realistic for a woman to want a man who blatantly disrespects her. Just know she’s very naive and gullible.
  • more billionaires

i kind of liked it despite the characters being mostly weird rotten people. it read like a slutty Nancy Drew book. but i’m really sick of every man being a billionaire, is that all women want? still? go back 40 years and read old harlequin romances, nothing changed. except they were only millionaires then. inflation i guess. books like this just make me uncomfortably aware that women will never be considered as good as men, even by other women. we all simply must have a billionaire to take care of us.

Jasper, Bryn, Arthur and Spencer are the Christmas children and the world thinks that they’ve led a charmed life but ...... Can Holly bring that dark sins of the past out and keep them all safe or will the truth only condemn them all?

The storyline leaves you with lots of questions but the intrigue is part and parcel of the book!
