It was really hard to feel in favor of this stand-up cop getting together with such an irresponsible female. Even though the author acknowledged the female leads need to get her life straight the story literally takes place over a few weeks and after saying she needed to learn she could be strong on her own how does she learn this? By falling for another man. He’d have been better off to come back in a year.
