A thoroughly satisfying ending to a series that has swept me away completely. These books could only be described as criminally underrated. Masterfully combining romance, an epic journey of self-discovery, and a unique study of humanity as a whole.

I hadn’t read in 1 year before I picked up the series. In my opinion this is the best series I’ve ever read and will always recommend it. I loved how the first 3 (i think)books have chapters then the last 3 bounce between the povs of Juliette/Ella, Aaron Warner, and kanji. I liked how the characters were played out. I loved the stubbornness and funniness of Kenji, How emotional and sensitive Juliette/Ella is, then the fact that Aaron hates everyone and everything but has a total soft spot for Juliette/Ella. The back story of every character was very detailed and complex but simple enough to understand. I ALWAYS loved being in kenjis POV he is just so funny! The friendship between him and Juliette/Ella and the arguments between him and Warner. At the very beginning of the series it made me hate Warner for how he treated everyone, but then his backstory was explained further of his childhood and his relationship with his father. I loved the up’s and downs of Juliette and Aaron. I loved the humor and romance. My emotions were played with I would get mad every time I finished a book because I didn’t have the next one (like 20 minutes later I would be at the counter paying for the book.) I read the whole series within a week. Now every single time I think about the series I cry. I started rereading the series within 2 pages of the first pages I would be crying. I will always love this series and I don’t know if I will take hate for the series . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE SERIES JUST READ IT

literally the best series I have ever read, I love it! It is something I am most definitely going to reread. Personally, the ending was beautiful, and even though there is still one more book to read (believe me) I am very sad that it is over.

After having read the other 5 books in less than a week, I was so excited to read the final book. The writing was brilliant, as usual, and it was an amazing ending to an amazing series. *SPOILER below* One thing that I wish was different was the we saw the wedding and the dress, rather than just hearing about how Kenji destroyed the dress. I also wish we could’ve seen more of what happened after they left the burning building, such as what happened with the other supreme commanders, how the people reacted to Ella/Juliette, how they managed to take over the Reestablishment, etc. But I loved this book so much!!!!!!!

Honestly, the ending was disappointing. Like other readers, I was dying for the wedding scene and the epilogue was very vague. Why include the part of the dress getting destroyed if we’re not even going to get to read about her wearing it. I also thought the book was very repetitive. She gets captured, she escapes. She loses her memory, she gains it back. All these events had already happened in the other books. Another event that bugged me was Juliette’s relationship with Emmaline. Why introduce Juliette’s long lost sister and then only include her at the end of the book WHERE SHE DIES! The whole conclusion just felt rushed. I had so many questions that I would have loved to have answered, but overall the thing that kept me reading this book was Juliette’s relationship with Warner and Kenji. Their relationships are what everyone would dream of having. All and all, I was disappointed with how it was written but LOVED the characters. Would definitely read the rest of the books again, but I’m not feeling this one.
