I gave up a few chapters in. Terrible characters. Needless details and subplots of no interest. This is a poor, poor follow up to the first book. Do not waste your time.

So many of the characters are so unappealing and uninteresting to me. And the lengthy explorations into side plots and motivations of these boring characters made this book a dreary read for me. Also, some of the absolute worst mission planning and logistics that I’ve ever seen depicted in fiction.
