Description

He’s not your average Joe from the corner bar.
He’s the heir to the crown.

I should know, I’ve followed him for years.
Not in a stalkerish way. Magazines and online gossip blogs are fair game when you’re royalty.
But I do know every detail about him, down to the brand of boxer briefs he wears.

All my studying  of the man who plays a starring role in my dreams pays off when I win a dinner with him. As if that wasn’t enough, he barters a deal with me that has him moving into my spare guest room.

I forgot that fairy tales don’t exist though because just as I’m about to get everything I want, including the prince, I find out there’s someone in Prince Adrian Marx’s life I don’t know—his fiancée.

  • What a hook of a blurb!

What a hook of a blurb! While I’ve read Piper Rayne books in the past, this was the first one I read from this story. I definitely wish I would’ve read the first book in the series, as it would have given me a better understanding of Sierra and her personality, but thankfully this author writes books that you can read and understand without having read previous ones! Obsessed with the Prince of Sandoval, Sierra enters a royal contest and ends up winning a night with the prince himself. Adrian has always put up a fight towards his birthright and given everyone a hard time, and after meeting Sierra, he gets the perfect opportunity to live like a commoner with the help of Sierra and her friends. Overall it was a great story and storyline. I would’ve loved to get more about Adrian and adapting to work, but the three-week jump did make sense or the book would’ve been longer. So happy for the ending these two got – well deserved and a great middle ground for the royals involved. Interested to see who’s next! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

  • Love Prince Adrian

I am so very much enjoying this series, it’s now a toss up which group of characters I am more in love with right now, the Baileys or the Rooftop Crew. Let me start off by saying Sierra was not my favorite character in Blanca and Ethan’s book, but being able to get the chance to know her a little better and now I love her. She is tough and independent but she is hiding some serious pain, enter Prince Adrian, and holy smokes is he full of so much awesomeness. I love how perceptive he is and how much empathy he has for people. You could see it so many times with Evan and Rian, but’s especially with Sierra. Despite growing up as a prince he has a deep understanding of people and a desire to help them. He is absolutely perfect for Sierra. They have a great insta love type of connection (well after the Initial failed introduction) and things move quickly from there. I mean he totally reminds me of Harry giving everything up for Meghan. I am super excited for Rian and Dylan. There story is going to be good, I can tell already. *** I did receive a free advanced readers copy of this book from Piper Rayne and Wildfire Marketing Solutions in exchange for a fair and honest review ***
  • The Prince takes a Holiday

This is the second book in the Rooftop Crew series by Piper Rayne. We met Sierra Sanders in the first book, and she was an unlikable narcissistic brat. Throughout book one, she went on about her obsession with Prince Adrian Marx. This obsession paid off and she was picked for the contest to win a date with a prince. This is a start of a romance reminiscent of the movie Roman Holiday. While you get to know Sierra better, you understand why she behaves as she does, but it wasn’t enough to for me to love her character (I went from immense dislike to somewhat neutral). I did like Adrian, he was sweet and very likable. I think my biggest problem I had is that I am not a fan of the Royal Romance trope, and this book didn’t convert me to a fangirl. Though the breadcrumbs that the author left for Rian and Dylan have me excited for the next book. I received an ARC of this book from the author for my honest review.
  • So happy to see Sierra’s story!

I am so glad to see Sierra's story! She was a bit misunderstood in the first book in this new series but I could so empathize with her! This is Adrian and Sierra's story. Sierra wins a contest for a date with Prince Adrian and when they meet, well....the prince doesn't make a great first impression! Sierra is such a complex character, I admired how honest Piper and Rayne were with her feelings and emotions, both towards Adrian and with her friends.  I could empathize with her childhood, as a veteran and a military wife, my heart broke for her. Sierra is so strong, almost too strong, she has walls built so high around her that nobody can really see her true self.  Until Adrian... Adrian, well he was princely in all the ways.  Sometimes headstrong and aloof, sometimes oblivious to what is going on around him, but boy when he loves, he loves hard and he knows just what Sierra needs. I love this crew! This rooftop crew! The dynamic of this group of friends is fantastic and I cannot wait for the next story from them!
