5By LisanneHMelting Matilda I thought this was a great addition to the Frost Fair collection. In 1814, England experienced a little ice age and they threw a once in a lifetime Frost fair on the Thames. Matilda was born on the wrong side of the blanket and is the ward of a duchess. Charles is an earl who won’t take a mistress he couldn’t give up and is so wholly bound by the morals of his time, he’s just plain hypocritical. And kind of pompous. But I enjoyed and can recommend. voluntarily reviewed
