Nevertheless, she is intrigued enough to go to a rodeo where she’s surprised to find out Cort is a bull rider. All this leads her to ask for Cort’s help with her family and thus begins their foray into Texas. The author weaves the story bit by bit and slowly builds Emma and Cort’s romance while at the same time drawing the reader into the world of Last Stand, Texas. All the characters are well-developed and add much to the story. Was so engrossed in this book that I wanted to finish it all in one sitting. I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher in exchange for my volunteer review.
