Description

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Jane Porter kicks off her brand new cowboy series with a modern twist on an old-fashioned way of finding a wife.

After the only woman Joe Wyatt ever loved marries another, the Montana rancher swears off romance.  He's done playing the game. Only problem?  He needs a wife, and kids he can pass the Paradise Valley cattle ranch to. So Joe takes the same no-nonsense approach to marriage as he does to running his family’s business...he places an online ad for a mail-order bride.  The ad is a lot like Joe, straight-forward and to-the-point:  Wife Wanted.

When Sophie Correia is left at the altar after her groom runs off with her maid of honor, she wants to get as far away from California and her dairy farming family as possible. Sophie doesn't need hearts and flowers, but she's fed up with men who can't commit. And at thirty, she's more than ready to start a family. When she comes across Joe's ad, she thinks she's found the perfect solution -- head to Montana, get married, and move forward.

Can a contract for marriage lead to love, or will the arrangement cost them their hearts?

Difficult for a couple to commit to each other when they hardly know each other. The author did a nice job of working thru their insecurities and emotions.
  • Could have been much better with some imagination

The author obviously has talent as a writer. Her words flow effortlessly however the story lacked intrigue and imagination. For young girls under the age of 15 this book might suffice however I was waiting for a twist a turn at anything to captivate my interest. For instance if sophie and joe didn’t marry to fast and perhaps charity came back divorced realizing joe was the one for her and seeing her again tempted him back into her arms. Then maybe joes brothers come back for the holidays and it’s love at first sight for sophie and Sam but they don’t want to act on their feelings etc. Anything but the straight on story that took place would have elevated this book by far. The writer has the talent but needs to use her imagination more. Think Legends of the fall with brad Pitt great movie twists and turns to keep you interested.

One of the best books I have ever read, read the book almost in an entire day! I loved it. I am originally from Ohio, and moved to Montana to meet my husband. He’s now my ex but Montana will always hold a special place in my heart. Would love to read the entire series.

I was all bummed after finishing ‘The Lost Sheenan’s Bride’, believing there were no more Jane Porter novels involving the families of Marietta and Paradise Valley MT! I quickly discovered there is a whole ‘nother family of books…about the Wyatt brothers!!! As always, I wish it were longer, as I finished it in just one day. But now I’m on to book #2 in the Wyatt brothers’ saga! Yippee!!! 🤓♥️♥️♥️

I absolutely loved this book! Joe and Sophie’s characters seemed so real to me which made the book hard to put down. As always you can’t go wrong with a book set in Marietta Montana!

Porter kicks off a brand new series featuring the Wyatt Brothers of Montana with her usual honesty and charm and leaves readers feeling satisfied with a beautiful romance to warm their hearts. Montana Cowboy Romance takes us along on a wonderfully romantic ride as Joe Wyatt and Sophie Correia meet for the first time through a Wife Wanted ad and slowly but deeply fall in love. Well-written, as always, and full of her signature complex characters and intense familial relationships, Montana Cowboy Romance is the perfect book to enjoy on a quiet evening! It's time to fall in love with Jane Porter's writing all over again and I, for one, can't wait to meet the other Wyatt brothers - hopefully soon!

Two people wanting more but unwilling to gamble on love come to an arrangement to marry but never expect that love found them. I really adored both Sophia and Joe, they were both independent, strong characters with walls built up around their hearts. All the characters were wonderful and I became really attached to Summer Wyatt, I can’t wait to meet the brothers in future books and find out where their stories take them.

Montana Cowboy by Jane Porter is book number one in the Wyatt Brothers of Montana series. This is Joe Wyatt and Sophie Correia story. I fell in love with Sophie and Joe’s characters. These two deserve some happiness in their lives. If they can move on from their past hurts, these two can find true love and the happiness they deserve. This was a fun and, entertaining, and emotional read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
  • Relationships Take Hard Work

Interesting take on the mail-order bride theme. Some parts were really enjoyable while a few places became mired in trite points that added little to the story as a whole. Would have liked to see a little more interaction with Sophie’s family or at least something about why no one was in communication with her while in Montana. There was plenty of family drama coming from Joe’s side of the family. This adds conflict to the story as the new couple try to work things out. Naturally, Joe and especially Sophie have plenty of baggage to unload an work through. Living on a ranch leaves little time for romance. This unfortunately left me wishing for more of that – after all “romance” is in the title. Overall a good book if you’re looking for a deeper storyline and a more intense relationship with the characters. I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher in exchange for my volunteer review.
