This was the first book of a three part novella by Harper Bliss. When Zoe and her daughter Brooklyn relocate from Queens to upstate New York, she attracts the attention of Anna, a work from home graphic artist. But she soon finds out that Anna is different, kind of eccentric, but definitely someone she wants to know on a deeper level. The one thing that I enjoy most about Harper Bliss’ stories are the characters. There’s always one that is unique and intriguing. You cannot help but want to know them better. Zoe, was very sociable and outgoing. You could feel her exuberance with all the other characters she interacts with. But it was Anna that I found most intriguing. As I was reading this story, I kept wondering what was Anna’s problem…why was she behaving the way she did. When it was finally revealed, I became more invested in her life, but all too soon, this first part was over. So now I eagerly await the second novella.
