Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better?
In The Midnight Library, Matt Haig's enchanting blockbuster novel, Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision. Faced with the possibility of changing her life for a new one, following a different career, undoing old breakups, realizing her dreams of becoming a glaciologist; she must search within herself as she travels through the Midnight Library to decide what is truly fulfilling in life, and what makes it worth living in the first place.

Midnight Library
5By dalba12Such a good read. Mid way through it got so good I couldn’t put it down. First book club book and this was five stars. Never knew where Nora was going or what she was doing next!Life Changing

4By queezygyroEasy readA quick meaningful read
4By MikeyPodreally enjoyed this book. It was an easy read, which was exactly what I needed. There were some powerful moments and several passages I highlighted along the way. At times, I wished the message had been delivered with a bit more subtlety; it might have landed more deeply if it hadn’t worked quite so hard to make its point. Still, I found it engaging and hard to put down. It gave me some meaningful perspective on regret and the importance of letting it go.Makes me feel like I’m not along in depression.
4By FreedasiyIn Matt’s books are always an important lessons to be remembered. He has always been the author that made me feel that he really understands depression and that’s a comfort.Easy read with a unique premise, but ultimately forgettable.
3By filmguyryanAt times the chapters felt redundant. The existential angle wasn’t fully realized. I was only moderately rooting for the main character. The story was okay. That’s about all I can say for it. It is an easy read and worth flipping the pages, but in the end it’ll be lost on the bookshelf and you won’t think much about it again.Cool idea (see A Christmas Carol) but…
2By cybrquackReads more like a YA imo. And maybe like a first novel. At 182 pages it basically explores one layer of what could be a very complex and fascinating ride. To be what it wishes it was he’d have to take the (Christmas carol) concept and really blow it up. Nothing new here but a change of venue.Enchanting
5By gailllsueeeIn the beginning I didn’t quite get the concept. By the end I I was beyond enchanted.Creative and thought-provoking
4By Sabrina AlfinHow do we live a life? And what might happen if we took a different path? These are the questions The Midnight Library attempts to answer. Engaging, humorous, and often uplifting, this is a magical story with great characters. The Midnight Library
5By jejejwkejrbvyvehwA tale for the ages - have no regrets!Charming and delightful celebration of life
5By Economan1This book will lift anyone’s mood.Beautifully written in ease way
5By PleasePeachPeteJust finished The Midnight Library by Matt Haig, and it left me deeply reflective. It explores the multiverse of “what ifs” with emotional and philosophical depth, resonating with anyone who’s ever questioned their life choices. The idea of exploring alternate versions of oneself is both haunting and beautiful. A beautifully written reminder that even our regrets can lead to meaning.Regrets
2By starshine316No sooner after I bought the book and read the first chapter I regretted buying it. It’s a good storyline kinda reminds me of the Christmas Carol. It’s very much like the Christmas Carol. I thought I would like it. I had high hopes to like the book because of the content and looking at life if you chose a different life, which is kind of what I’m going through now. But the story didn’t interest me. I pretty much rushed to read the book since I paid for it and I wasn’t gonna waste money and not read it. Maybe others will like it or liked it, but it wasn’t for me.Beautiful
4By Jinnae WThe midnight library either is loved or hated. i think the storyline is so beautiful and has so many layers too it. some parts of the book are boring but it allows you to really understand the MC.Inspiring
5By NikkaK.This book is a perspective changer. If you have ever dwelled on what could have been or deeply regretted something and these thoughts eat at you… I highly encourage you to take a leap of faith and read this book. Although fiction, it makes you take a look at your life in a different light. Brilliant. Inspiring. An easy & enduring read
5By JBird31Stumbled upon Midnight Library and ended up loving it. I tend to be someone that wonders about all of the lives I could live, and loved the sense of belonging in the present this book showed. Would definitely recommend.Entertaining
4By rdzmarcoThis was my first apple book; in summary entertaining!!!Amazing
