Over the course of a Pacific Northwest summer, three generations of women, who believe they have nothing in common, will try to become what they never were…a family.

Diane Parks Jeffers swore she’d never set foot back in Pacific Bay, the tiny tourist town on the Oregon Coast where she’d grown up under the harsh judgment of her mother. But when a political scandal threatens the life she clings to in Los Angeles, she has little choice but to pack up her rebellious, uncontrollable teenager and reluctantly return in order to escape the glare of the media and to keep her daughter from spilling to reporters.

Her journey back home will lead all three generations of women to revelations of buried secrets and an understanding that—regardless what happens—some ties can never be broken.
