Twisted
5By chrevinqueNo other book has left me with desire to keep reading. What Where When and Why was always on the forefront of every page. Not one word or sentence had a hidden meaning. I really liked this book a lot.Suspenseful
5By elkeartDidn’t figure out the murderer until well into the book. Well developed charactersGripping, twisty, and completely unputdownable
5By leah-chase26Local Woman Missing had me hooked from page one. Mary Kubica masterfully weaves together multiple timelines and perspectives, building suspense with every chapter. Just when I thought I had it figured out, the story took another shocking turn. The characters are layered and believable, and the pacing is perfect—fast enough to keep you on the edge of your seat but rich with emotion and detail. This is one of the best thrillers I’ve read in a long time. Highly recommend to anyone who loves a dark, twisty mystery that keeps you guessing until the final page.Good book…
5By ArubabevI have read at least one other of Ms Kubica’s books but this one is first class. It was okay
3By krystenhowardVery slow start, about 3/4 in I had it figured out but overall a decent book. First time reading this author alsoWhat a ride!
5By IevkaaLoved it. You would never guess how it ends.Amazing
5By skibbidyohioI read the audio book and I cried, because the ending is a twist. You HAVE to read it.Not that interesting
2By pinkelpuff819For starters, the book description said this was a story about the things people have to do in order to survive. Or something like that. But it really wasn’t about that at all. I’m still wondering what the purpose was for a lot of the things in it. I found myself bored a lot while reading, going to bed to it. It felt like it took me hours to read 2 pages. I just think I didn’t like the characters that much. There wasn’t really any characters in the book that I fell in love with. I especially didn’t care when Kate’s POV was being narrated. I also don’t know why Leo’s POV is as if he’s talking to the girl. The whole book was just all over the place and I think it only got somewhat interesting towards the end. It would’ve been way better as an actual story with one POV, maybe Leo’s, instead of all these POVs. The last thing there is to say is just how many cliches there were. Like staring up at the sky on your knees and screaming “why” like who actually does that? Kate investigating the doctor was cringy and bea with a grunge style didn’t seem like a 30 year old to me. I don’t know why the author felt the need to point out not once but twice the outfits bea would wear. I skimmed through some pages especially Kate’s so overall I wouldn’t recommend this book.Local woman missing
1By Stephanie'sThe story started off with some promise. But as they reach the penultimate act in the story, this readers imagination was pushed just a little too far. And then at the conclusion of the story, the final reveal is so outrageous and ridiculous, and unbelievable that it ruined the entire story.Wow!
5By remi1234456Absolutely a fantastic read!!! I loved the back and forth and would have never guessed the ending!! I could not put it down!!Ending is solid
3By KcleemarieThe book is very slow is the beginning but about half way through it picks up, which helps. There are parts that feel a little unnecessary (IE: random missing girl that ends up having nothing to do with the main plot) but it was a good twist at the end. I wish it would have given more sneak peaks a little earlier onI finished this book in 3 days
5By slayer2000_I’m gonna be honest and say that I have only read two books completely through in my entire life. I picked this book one night when trying to read to fall asleep. Nope. I stayed up in 5am reading this book. I seriously could not put this book down and am obsessed. The way it’s written keeps you on your toes, trying to put together all the puzzle pieces. I’ve gasped out loud three times lol! THANK YOU MARY!!!!!!Boring and unbelievable
2By JILLIANJJJJJJThere were a few chapters that held my interest as I liked some of the characters. I can’t believe I wasted my time to finish it.Highly recommend
5By saraeenglishCaptivating! I couldn’t put it downSUCH A SHAME
2By madmaxkensingtonThis writer has a lot of talent but she needs an editor(s) to tell her she hasn’t finished her story yet. Ending was very contrived. And it just doesn’t work to have one of the main characters telling major portions of the story in first person singular, then describe her own murder! I tried that in 6th grade and my English teacher gave me a “C”.Couldn’t put it down!
5By Annitah LI finished this in 3 days. I couldn’t put it down! Though the twist wasn’t what I was expecting, the book overall was still greatWonderful.
5By bunttrinI could not guess the plot twist. That’s what I like.It worth it for me
2By TodgsmithI just felt the ending and investment of time spent reading the book were not worth the effort. The writer is obviously very talented but the story seems forced.Solid start
4By beekindchiroLiked it definitely kept you intrigued from the start just not as solid ending in my opinion
