Description
The New York Times bestselling author of Elevator Pitch and master of psychological suspense returns with a riveting thriller in which the possible heirs of a dying tech millionaire are mysteriously being eliminated, one by one.
“Find You First starts with a bang and ends with an even bigger one. . . . It’s the best book of his career.” — Stephen King
Tech millionaire Miles Cookson has more money than he can ever spend, and everything he could dream of—except time. He has recently been diagnosed with a terminal illness, and there is a fifty percent chance that it can be passed on to the next generation. For Miles, this means taking a long hard look at his past . . .
Two decades ago, a young, struggling Miles was a sperm donor. Somewhere out there, he has kids—nine of them. And they might be about to inherit both the good and the bad from him—maybe his fortune, or maybe something much worse.
As Miles begins to search for the children he’s never known, aspiring film documentarian Chloe Swanson embarks on a quest to find her biological father, armed with the knowledge that twenty-two years ago, her mother used a New York sperm bank to become pregnant.
When Miles and Chloe eventually connect, their excitement at finding each other is overshadowed by a series of mysterious and terrifying events. One by one, Miles’s other potential heirs are vanishing—every trace of them wiped, like they never existed at all.
Who is the vicious killer—another heir methodically erasing rivals? Or is something even more sinister going on?
It’s a deadly race against time . . .

Wooden characters meandering plot
1By CentralCALadyNot sure why Tom Nolan of the WSJ recommended this. Fantastical coincidences, desperate facsimile of famous disgraced financier don’t make this book any less tediousGreatBook
5By cheryldennis55This was a topic I hadn’t read about before and it didn’t disappoint! Was very good read kept my interest the whole book!Made me laugh out loud
4By Gotagoodbook?A few characters that were hard to care about, but the plot and accelerating pace kept me reading. I laughed out loud, the end is equally violent and hilarious.Skip this one
1By RBM in WDCI’ve enjoyed several other of Barclay’s books, but this one is just idiotic. Implausible and melodramatic. It’s like a telenovela of crime fiction. And the denouement is just so ridiculously far-fetched that it reads like satire. A total waste of time.Disappointing
2By Otis25This is my first Linwood Barclay book, so I’m not writing as an avid fan. I found it a tough read with an improbable plot and twists. Took a long time to unfold. I resisted the urge to put it down several times, but made it to the end. However, it was much more like “I’m glad I’m done” rather than “I can’t wait to get back to it”.Yay!
5By mooncamAwesome. Love all his books. I wish he could write faster.Easily one of his best books.

3By kissdaddyIt was an okay story. A quick read that kept me interested, but be prepared to accept fantastical coincidences and unrealistic plot lines.Find You First
1By cartonpieThere are so many errors in this book. Didn’t anybody proofread it? The typeset is also not done properly. It is a shame because the story is good, but with all the problems I would ask for my money back if I could.
