5By Cheryl33610Low on angst but high in humor and sexiness, Halftime Husband was the perfect fun read for a chilly afternoon. Dakota and Brandon have a bit of kismet on their side when the meet...again...on Valentine’s Day. After he saved her from a sticky situation in December, neither got the others number, and both regretted it. While they remember exactly what they talked about that evening, there’s still a lot they need to learn about each other, and the funny coincidences really drew me in. Once Dakota starts nannying for Brandon’s daughters Willow and Poppy, the fun continues but the feelings may or may not be getting more serious. I loved Dakota’s interactions with the girls; you’d never guess that she wasn’t actually a nanny by trade. Brandon is both amused and continually perplexed by the females in his life, but he’s so adorably clueless. Great dialogue, a fun plot and very likable characters made Halftime Husband and clear winner in my book!
