5By ArtymusicianI greatly enjoyed reading this author’s books, and especially this one about Maud’s “adventures” in South Africa. I am impressed at how adept Maud is in exploiting the stereotype of “little old lady”, and meanwhile running circles around even the brightest detectives. Can’t wait for the next book of Maud, hopefully when she is held accountable for her murders by my favorite detective, Irene Huss. Maud’s moral compass is definitely missing, as she gets rid of people without remorse. Reminds me of the movie Serial Mom, where the main character has no problem killing people but is a stickler for recycling. Stunning and memorable - definitely don’t want to cross Maud!
