Ask Me About Johnny Cash

This book is the result of a collaborative group of elementary students, university students, a number of teachers, a variety of directors and a collection of Johnny Cash admirers both young and old. The goal was to bring to life a time in the not so distant past and inform a younger generation of their cultural heritage. The Dyess Colony in Arkansas and Johnny Cash’s boyhood home provided context for the book. Studying about Cash’s life story and his songs provided direction and inspiration as we told our own stories through writing, music and art.
