It is full steam ahead as Finley must learn to harness her powers if she has any hope of defeating Kymaris. A Battle of Blood and Bone is another suspenseful and fantastical read by this author. There is never a dull moment as the story moves at a relatively fast pace and is full of intrigue, action, adventure, and steam. The author continues to masterfully weave together story that ensnared my attention immediately and kept me enthralled until the very end. I really enjoyed how the soul connection between Carrick and Finely is further illustrated within these pages. I just love the cast of characters and the unique way each one adds to the story. The intensity is dialed up as things are coming to a head with Kymaris and her diabolical plans. Finely, Carrick, and their gang are engrossed in strategical planning and must embark on some adventures that will hopefully aid in their quest to stop Kymaris. While I was able to deduce some of the twists, I found myself shocked with a few of the revelations. Trust is challenged. Betrayals occur. And an epic battle lays ahead. I found this book to be a thrilling read and thoroughly enjoyed the action sequences, the romantic aspect, and the overall story. The character development and plot progression is well thought out and I am most curious to see how everything is going to play out.
