Reviews
Cute and cozy mystery series
5By madeleinehubbardI absolutely fell in love with this series. The stories are well-written and enjoyable for those who love a murder mystery, but without all of the gore. The characters work well together and the stories always have the best twist endings. Highly recommend.Real people real situations
5By martirhbI liked the character that seemed to be on the spectrum but was able to function, although somewhat different, in the real world.Very Good of Its Type
4By midlotamI liked the heroine and the book’s setting. Solution to the mystery was well hidden. Clever of the author to keep us hanging at the end of book one, because we don’t know which man will win her heart. I just wish that the heroine hadn’t rolled her eyes so much, and that characters hadn’t smirked so much.A Book To Kill For
5By sweetibeetieLoved it. Great characters. Would love to to go to that bookstore and cafe and meet everyone.Charming
5By EarlgrayjaneThe characters are vivid and delightful. What wonderful company to snuggle in with on a rainy day.Great read
5By Cbear<3A great book but I wish there was more about Josh and Margaret’s relationship.Love this series so far!
5By Unhappy spending spinnerOnly on book 3 but I loved the first two so much I can’t stop reading them. I didn’t like Maggie’s attitude at first toward people but by mid book two I love her. Usually I can figure out who the killer is but Harper Lin is pretty good at keeping me guessing until the big reveal.Such a wonderful read!
4By jasper📚🩶The book was dragged on a little bit in some chapters but I’d say it’s definitely worth a read. Once the story starts it just keeps developing and developing so well. Some parts made me feel as if I was actually in the story. Personally I felt like some parts were a little boring or bland for too long, but I do think it’s definitely worth a read and it’s pretty quick to get through. Overall a pretty well written book with a good plot & storyline :)Maggie prefers old books.
3By TBgr1992It's a good story about Maggie, a shy book store clerk. She is a nice lady but not a very efficient book salesperson.Lovely book!!! Highly recommend
4By Lazy IowanI started this book just to get used to reading on my phone. Frankly I wasn’t expecting to even like this book. I was pleasantly surprised when I couldn’t put my phone down! Easy, relaxing read with mystery, gossip, and murder.A book to Kill For
5By i luv readingA gentle, sweet read! Thank you for not making it gory or to sexy. Really enjoyed knowing what would happen later without spelling out every persons ending. LovleyA Book to Kill For
5By Ms. English TeacherGreat, fun book to read. It was quirky, humorous, and thoughtful. It had plenty of mystery and enough twists & turns to keep you interested without being overdone. Some romance and sentimentality added to its depth.Excellent!
5By Bonnie PrancerThis is a wonderful book! Reading brings attention to life and what others deal with while living there own life. It is underestimated who the “bad people” are in this book. That makes the ending a surprise and a congratulations to the author. The title of the book makes reading a questionable process. Reading this book brings happiness to the reader.Good plot line!
5By bean2356Harper Lin is a prolific writer! I have been reading her Cape Bay Cafe series and didn’t realize she had several other series she has written. I liked “A Book To Kill For” because of the protagonist Maggie’s character development. The plot was filled with twists and turns and kept me guessing. I will be reading more from The Bookish Cafe Mysteries series.Great Read
