Description
The secretary of state has been kidnapped by Islamic extremists and his only hope for survival is a reconstituted Presidential Agent team in this revival of W. E. B. Griffin's New York Times bestselling series.
Secretary of State Frank Malone has been kidnapped from his Cairo hotel—his security detail wiped out. President Natalie Cohen is left with several unacceptable options. It's time to think outside the box, and that can only mean one thing: the revival of the Presidential Agent program.
Cohen calls for Charley Castillo to come out of retirement to direct a new Presidential Agent, one Captain P. K. "Pick" McCoy, USMC. Charley may be too old to kick down doors and take names, but Killer McCoy is just the man to get the job done.
Together, they will track the kidnapped secretary from Cairo to sub-Saharan Africa. The only problem is that one man can't hope to win against an army of terrorists...good thing there are two of them.

1By K.ByerThis is why I hate books written by co-authors. Castillo was 12 and his grandmother near 60 when they met. Now he’s 52 and she’s in her 80’s so I guess she had his father at 17? Also he was 36 when the series started and now 8yrs later he’s in his 50’s? Natalie Cohen and Charlie had a wonderful respectful relationship thru 8 books but now they’re at odds? Details matter and in the future read and reread the original books because this was a waste of time and money!Fantastic read.
5By pnangoLots of action from beginning to end. Looking forward to the next book.Rogue asset

5By Tj3133Keeps you on your toes. Love the way the charter flows back through till the grandfather. GreatRogue Asset…terrible
1By peterjaydZero stars. Soooo disappointing! The Griffin franchise should make sure a new author at least reads the books he is trying to base the story on. No relation to either of the previous series. It seems the author wrote a random military action story and then asked for the rights to make it a mckoy/castillo knockoff without knowing anything about those great series. Book is a shame on the memory of WEB Griffin, he never would have put his name on it!A page turner
5By John6330A page turner for sure. But: also a well crafted thread of team formation where people come together and have to all quickly assess each other’s skills and form a trusting relation while on a life and death situation.Rogue Asset
3By boots saddleOk read but some very complex detail in places. Book could have been somewhere shorter and still conveyed the same ideas and basic themes.Basically a good read. Little slow at first.
4By batman195959It was a little slow but it got better. Not a bad readNot W.E.B. GRIFFIN but still hard to put down
5By FrequentInternationalFlyerIt was nice not to have to read through a quarter of the book rehashing previous stories. The somewhat elliptical references were useful to tie this to past series without bogging down the story line. Indeed, the book was to put down with excellent transitions to the next chapter. I look forward to a continuation of this restart of Presidential Agents. BTW, I read the previous reviews but took a chance (and am glad I did). I wonder about the agenda of those reviewers. OK, so the authors didn’t get all the details from the Corps series (and exactly how many Marines made ace during Vietnam?), but that impacts the present storyline how?Completely not worth it….
1By Ccrider196It’s like the new authors didn’t read the “Presidential Agent” series. I wanted to like this and was sorely disappointed. Don’t waste your time.Great Read
5By Wonder this gameThis is a great read. I have finished most of Mr. Griffin’s work. This is the same quality book.Charlie is Back
5By JohnWhoLovesJesusI am really excited to get Charley Castillo back.Another Series Beginning Winner
5By DLJMNThis is the third series that I have encountered with W.EB. All of them are page turners and full of action with characters that are very endearing.Rogue asset
1By Acemontana2000I love the presidential agent series and in my opinion this was a horrible story the series. At the end of hazardous duty, Castillo was getting married, svettlana was 3 months pregnant and Charlie was 38 years old. This story supposedly takes place 12 years later but somehow Charlie is now 57 years old. Also not a fan so f how Natalie cohen in this story can’t stand charger but in the real agent series she was a big fan and friend of him. These two authors did joying but muddy the memory of WEB Griffey with this book. They should of at least read the other books I. The series so they could of kept continuity with the series. I will not read anything these two write. Hope the Griffey estate will not let them weight anymore books for this or any other of his series.Rogue Asset
5By He Ain't HereKeep it coming!!!Pleasantly surprised
5By rhymyjy6Was a bit hesitant at first that the writing not by W.E.B. Would be lacking the punch I had grown to love. Boy was I wrong, I am already impatiently waiting for the next assignment of the presidential agents.Rogue Asset
2By CrendragTo say that I was disappointed in this book after spending $15 is an understatement. This was not even close to the quality of W. E. B. Griffin’s books. There was very little to no character development and almost none of the back stories about anyone but Pickering K. McCoy. There was a huge hole in the story concerning his father. The last time we heard of and about Ken McCoy was when his wife had given birth to what turns out to be P. K. McCoy Sr. There is no mention of a mother nor more flesh to the story of McCoy seniors life. Then we get to Charley Castillo. The last time we heard of him he was about to marry Svetlana Alekseeva. She was also more than three months pregnant with their first child. Where did they go? Also Charley’s real name is Carlos Guillermo Castillo aka Karl Wilhelm von und su Gossinger. The whole book was like a script for a Netflix episode. Very sloppy. I will not be spending any more money on anything these two authors writeRogue Asset
1By FrenobleReplaces the wit and character development of the Griffin franchise with dead bodies and splattered brains. A shame to see Carlos Castillo and Ken McCoy’s grandson end up like this.Awesome
