Fun shifter romance with some magic!
4By ShanCol19Entertaining series! Like getting more with the witches; even though they are shady, but I enjoy their magical elements. Vi’s coven has a meeting with a rival coven, so her coven leader wants the wolves to help with protection. Vi is tasked with getting the wolves on board because she already has an in with them, so Rowe ends up being the one for the job. There’s that connection between them instantly, but both are resistant to a deeper connection. Things are especially difficult when loyalties are tested. Fun danger, cool magic, sweet and spicy romance!Vi and Rowe

Vi is a witch and her coven leader has sent her to fetch two of the werewolves to be bodyguards. Rowe is a werewolf and his squad was captured and dark magic was used on them to turn them into wolves. Him and his pack don’t know anything about the supernatural, so basically they are just winging it. Rowe and Vi are mates but they each are denying it. They are meeting up with a rival coven and there is dark magic a brewing. Will Vi and Rowe be able to defeat it? Will they finally give in to the temptation and mate?A Different Kind of Shifter
4By anij822This is the third book in a series and I read the first but have not read the second so I knew Rowe but not Vi. These books are different in that the shifters are newly turned and not the typical “He’s been a shifter forever and she didn’t know they exist” that most of these books are. Another twist is that she’s a witch. Hmmm. Interesting, isn’t it? Vi and Rowe are great characters and I really enjoyed reading their story. I will admit it took a bit to warm to Vi but I’ve heard if I had read book two I wouldn’t have been that way so even though it’s a stand alone, and you can 100% read it by itself, reading the first two books before do make it better. Since the first book is free, why not give it a go? I’m hoping there will be more to the series. Kate is a great writer and I love her alien romances as well. Leads Vi and Rowe are a hot toddy combination nestled within a perfectly paced and written narrative filled with witches, shifters, and magic. I absolutely enjoyed this bewitching, engaging read.
