Description

A woman hunted
Once a hopeless wallflower, Clarissa Meadows blossomed into a beauty for a single splendid season—only to catch the eye of a madman bent on possessing her. Now, she must flee where he’ll never follow: a friend’s house in the Scottish Highlands. Except he does follow. And Clarissa has nowhere left to run.

A protector unbound
Campbell MacPherson shouldn’t be dreaming about the fair English lass who blushes like a sunrise, blurts out double entendres over breakfast, and shows a peculiar interest in the size of his hands. But when she reveals the threat putting fear in her eyes, this rough, solitary giant vows his protection, even if it means keeping temptation as close as his next breath.

A temptation too hot to deny
Clarissa couldn’t ask for a more imposing—or enthralling—bodyguard than Campbell MacPherson. But accepting his protection puts him squarely in a predator’s sights. And soon, she faces an impossible choice: stay in the shelter of his arms or save the man she loves from the wolf she’s brought to his door.

I loved everything about this book! Clarissa and Campbell were great characters and the love they shared that saved both of them was beautiful. This is a fabulous series and I can’t wait for the next book.

Love, love, love! Finished it in one reading because I couldn’t put it down. Clarissa is well developed and I could really relate to her. Cam was the silent, salt of the earth and just the best kind of hero. Waiting impatiently for the next in the series.

I was hooked from page one. Tension was created early on and continued till stalker was neutralized. There was a physic connection between the lovers. Lots of spice. Delightful side characters and a dog.

I think this may be my favorite of the Midnight in Scotland series. I absolutely loved Clarissa and her terror at being the obsession of a madman was all too real. Loved watching her relationship with Cam develop as they learned to trust each other. The supernatural elements were also a plus. Four stars due to some parts of the epilogue being a bit far fetched. I received an ARC in exchange for this honest review.
