Civil War: The Battle for America

North vs South. Union vs Confederacy. Neighbor vs Neighbor.

The American Civil War was the largest conflict in the Western world between the end of end of the Napoleonic wars in 1815 and the outbreak of World War One a century later.

It threatened to rip the country permanently apart, one half free and the other slave holding.

The four-year conflict pitted brother against brother and father against son. It also brought two of the greatest military leaders the country ever produced a up against each other in a fierce battle of wills that would, ultimately, determine the fate of the country.
