  • Necessity for first time moms

When I was pregnant with my first child, I felt unprepared and uninformed. I was living overseas with my military husband and had no one around to help or advise me. I asked around on social media for good resources to help me feel knowledgeable and was advised to purchase Dr. Sears books. Honestly, without the information I learned about breastfeeding from this book I would have been so lost. This book made me feel so confident about my breastfeeding journey. My mom friends that witnessed my experience with breastfeeding were always so impressed by how effortless my baby and I made it feel and would constantly ask me questions and ask for advice. This book made me feel confident and informed. Because of this book I successfully breastfed two children for over a year, until they weaned themselves. This is always a “must have” for every pregnant mom I know. You seriously can’t go wrong with Dr. Sears.

The book is good but throughout the entire book there are misspellings and layout mishaps that make some pages unreadable. These should get fixed, makes the book look unprofessional and not helpful at all with these little annoyances.

I thought the book was informational and helpful. However, there was a concept or two that I did not agree with. Overall, lots info for a first time breastfeeder so it was helpful.
