Greg Mortenson is a liar and you should only read this book if you are interested in pure fiction...

Honestly, it is required reading for my son in 6th grade, and it does not keep his interest. It moves a bit slow.

I love this book! I am a 5th grade student at Hygiene Elementary, and one day I got a letter in my weekly folder. It asked if i wanted to read the book "Three Cups of Tea" for a advanced class. Of corse I said YES! But unluckily my mom had said she owned the book 'cause she read it in her Book Club, so I didn't get it from the library. But she had the adult version! We had no clue there was a Young Readers Edition! So I went two weeks trying to read that book and man it was hard! But then a friend of mine told me it was a book for kids!! So the following week my dad downloaded the iBook app on the iPad and I finished it a minutes ago, one thing I can say is IT WAS WORTH IT!

About as life changing as stories get... Really helps one get a sense of the world we live in. A small change halfway around the world can have real and lasting effects for generations to come.
