I grew up with a hard copy with Shepherd's delightful illustrations, but they were just black ink line drawings. The e-book is from an edition that added color and they are just marvelous. The stories are great, with choice tidbits for adults as well as for children. The e-book scan is very good. In a very few places are oddities, like stray parenthesis in place of apostrophes. They are so few that the flow of the story is not hurt.

I first read this book in the 4th grade, and fell in love with it. So when I found it on iTunes, it was an automatic buy! This is a really great book to read to young and old. What's really cool is that many of these stories are found in classic Pooh movies. This book definitely gets 500 stars up from me!

If they actually want people to buy this on iBooks, they will re-price it accordingly. We can buy the nice hardback version and keep it with the lovely bookshelf collection for what they're charging! Regardless of the initial freebie, this is ridiculously priced for a short virtual book. Too bad.
  • Too Pricy

Even if you rationalized that it's $16 because they gave the first book away for free with iBook, it's still too high!!
