"These are the rules I've picked up along the way to help me remain invisible when I'm writing a book, to help me show rather than tell what's taking place in the story."—Elmore Leonard

For aspiring writers and lovers of the written word, this concise guide breaks down the writing process with simplicity and clarity. From adjectives and exclamation points to dialect and hoopetedoodle, Elmore Leonard explains what to avoid, what to aspire to, and what to do when it sounds like "writing" (rewrite).

Beautifully designed, filled with free-flowing, elegant illustrations and specially priced, Elmore Leonard's 10 Rules of Writing is the perfect writer's—and reader's—gift.

    More of a pamphlet.

The 10 rules are fine and good advice, but don't bother getting the whole book for them. Just read the table of contents. The book isn't much more than that, unfortunately.
  • Should be a free item

My first e-book and got cheated. The publisher quoted 97 pages and only 31 pages in the actual content. I want my money back. I should have bought his other book.
  • Not worth the price.

I've read blog entries bigger than this story. And I dot have to pay $10 to read them. The content is okay, but the price should be lowered to no more than $2. You're pretty much just buying the name at that point. I'm very disappointed I got suckered into buying this.

This is not a book. It is a sequence of very short paragraphs on no more than 42 pages. I want my money back.
