Description
The award-winning bestseller that became one of the most talked about and memorable novels of the decade, Room is "utterly gripping...a heart-stopping novel" (San Francisco Chronicle). Held captive for years in a small shed, a woman and her precocious young son finally gain their freedom, and the boy experiences the outside world for the first time.
To five-year-old-Jack, Room is the world. It's where he was born, it's where he and his Ma eat and sleep and play and learn. At night, his Ma shuts him safely in the wardrobe, where he is meant to be asleep when Old Nick visits.
Room is home to Jack, but to Ma it's the prison where she has been held for seven years. Through her fierce love for her son, she has created a life for him in this eleven-by-eleven-foot space. But with Jack's curiosity building alongside her own desperation, she knows that Room cannot contain either much longer.
Room is a tale at once shocking, riveting, exhilarating — a story of unconquerable love in harrowing circumstances, and of the diamond-hard bond between a mother and her child.

5By PrissynanSad but good memories for Jack. I appreciate how the story is told by Jack in his own words. The ending is perfect.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
5By amandax345A very unique book. I love how we get to see the point of view of the child.Beautiful story
5By ShebdiabfjdoahdI loved the film so much, but I knew the book would be even better. There is so much more in this story that we didn’t see in the film. The pacing of Jack learning about the world outside of room is just as perfect on paper as it is on screen. I absolutely loved this story. I loved the characters. I love Jack’s narration. Great book!Good story
3By VLH171This is a good story but the dialogue for the child was a bit clumsy. Seems to be based on the Dugard storyWatch the movie
4By victoriaantoriaI started having already watched the movie did not regret it like I usually do I felt the book and movie perfectly complimented each other. What a great, scary, and terrible story.Wonderful

5By #beastsauceI think many shy away from this book because of the subject matter. It is written from a child’s perspective, giving it innocence and a unique take. A fantastic book!Meh
3By ThelazyshrimpI feel like this book could’ve been sooo good but the storyline is really boring after the past like 200 pages.Would
