5By EPLessmannEvery time I read this book I am challenged, humbled, and motivated. It is awe-inspiring to learn how a cook at a monastery (Brother Lawrence) learned to live in such close communion with God. It is beautiful the way it is so plainly yet is so profound. This simple man learned such utter dependence on Him, and He encourages us to do the same. I can only read a chapter at a time and then spend days reflecting on it. I encourage you to read it, absorb it, and learn know Him more deeply than you ever have before.
