- Genre: Dystopian Fiction for Young Adults
Description
The third installment of Scott Westerfeld’s New York Times bestselling and award-winning Uglies series—a global phenomenon that started the dystopian trend.
Tally thought they were a rumor, but now she’s one of them. A Special. A super-amped fighting machine, engineered to keep the uglies down and the pretties stupid.
But maybe being perfectly programmed with strength and focus isn’t better than anything she’s ever known. Tally still has memories of something else.
Still, it’s easy to tune that out—until she’s offered a chance to stamp out the rebels of the New Smoke permanently. It all comes down to one last choice: listen to that tiny, faint heartbeat, or carry out the mission she’s programmed to complete. Either way, Tally’s world will never be the same.
Reviews
A good read.
5By CaseyisobnoxiousI enjoyed the series, but the ending of this one surprised me because of Tally’s decisions. Overall though, I feel like the series ended on a good note, and that’s always nice with a series you put time and energy into.no
1By The Amazing Spidergirlzane didn’t deserve thatThese books had me addicted from start to finish!
5By RahzyyCouldn’t sit it down, these books are such a good read that they went too fast! Not my favorite
3By KLM4030I devoured the first two books in this series, but struggled with this one. I don’t know if it was the concept getting old, or the overly descriptive “action” scenes, but it was so slow reading. I won’t be reading the 4th.Really Good Third Book
4By Emmybird86I am enjoying this series. Tally is growing so much as a character. I was so happy to see more of Shay. I cannot wait to read the next book.An ok book
3By Jetson42Overall this book was pretty good; if you like the hunger games and divergent you will probably like this.I just got frustrated with the fact that the main character shows very little emotion even when her boyfriend dies! The author doesn't even mention her crying or anything at all. It's actually really annoying, and all the gadgetry is a bit much. It's kind of unrealistic:/ not the best series I've ever read but not the worst.IM NOT OK
5By I_eat_carrotsI just started reading this couple days ago and... I have this problem where I flip thru the pages of a book before I read it and... I saw Zane's name and I love him so I was like "YES ITS ZANE" ...but then I read what it said and I'LL NEVER BE OK AGAIN. I LITERALLY ALMOST CRIED. I DONT EVEN CARE IF IM RUINING THE BOOK FOR YOU BECAUSE NO HE CANT DIE. I LOVED HIM. I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE #ZANEANDTALLYFOREVER I will never be the same after this book I don't like David Zane better magically come back life in extras or I'm gonna burn this series BECAUSE ZANE WAS SO SWEET. K BYE But seriously good books👌👏Great series
4By CjenckrndlThis series is mind blowing!! If you want an addicting book that you can not put down this is definitely it! I personally got frustrated with tally the whole book and really didn't want her to be special but it was still really good! TEAM DAVID!Love it
